Re: Spidey Super Stories

Are you sure the stories in Electric Company Magazine are just truncated reprints? I thought there were some original stories. http://www.spiderfan.org/comics/title/e ... o_mag.html

Re: Mother Teresa of Calcutta #1 (1984)

Adding people who are behind the scenes at historical events seems like a bad precedent to start... "Oh, please! If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock." Honestly, though, I don't see why it would be a bad precedent. A lot of ...

Re: SPIDER-VERSE!

I know you don't want to go crazy suggesting other Spideys that are off panel, but I would at least suggest the Earth-7642 Spidey, since I already did a breakdown of his other appearances. Speaking of which, I finally tracked down a copy of Marvel Treasury Edition #28 at a convention this summer. Y...

Re: SPIDER-VERSE!

Hmm, that's a good point about the Earth-numbers. If actual Earth numbers are given that are different from the known Earth designations for the cartoons, then that's a good reason to think they're distinct. It's possible those are typos, but apart from really strong reason to think so, then that's ...

Re: SPIDER-VERSE!

A few comments/questions: 1) Why assume that a character who is clearly intended to be a cartoon/movie character isn't, but is instead from an alternate reality based in adaptations? Clearly, Earth-67 Spidey is the cartoon version, so why doesn't that also apply to the others? 2) If you do want to i...

Re: Text Stories in Marvel Mystery Comics #21-24

I don't recall: does the story in M/MC 17 explicitly say that it's the first time Torch and Namor team up? If so, that would be ignoring lines of dialogue in multiple stories, not just one. Edit: Oh, and another problem is that the Torch first meets Toro in Human Torch #2, but that was published Fal...

Re: Text Stories in Marvel Mystery Comics #21-24

The problem isn't so much Torch and Toro working together, but Namor and the Torch. It's Namor who comments about working with the Torch "again," seemingly requiring this to take place after M/MC 17.

Re: Text Stories in Marvel Mystery Comics #21-24

So maybe the way to go is to posit that in 616 there was a second major battle at Dunkirk sometime later in 1941 that never happened here on our Earth?

Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk (1982)

The official Hulk bibliography lists a number of stories not yet included in MCP ( https://marvel.com/universe/OHOTMU:Bibliography-Hulk_2007 ). I was thinking about trying to place two of them, both insert comics from 1982 titled Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk , one from the Houston Chronicle, t...
