Re: The post-Inferno to end of the Krakoa era X-titles thread

I updated the thread title there, since we now have a definitive "end of the Krakoa era" marker (X-Men #35, also billed as Legacy Uncanny X-Men #700).

Re: Leader and Home Base in Bruce Jones' Hulk Run

Given later revelations at the end of IH2 81 though, how much of this is even in-continuity? Yes, we saw brain-in-a-jar Leader briefly in a monitor in the Warbound miniseries, but at the same time Fall of the Hulks makes it pretty explicit that none of Betty's appearances outside of her crystal cask...

Re: The rolling post-Inferno X-titles thread

Honestly, what I suspect is that LOX 7-10 as published take place in the Sins of Sinister timeline. Then, post-reset, we pick up after the "real" version of events which are broadly similar in outline & outcome but different in details.

Re: Foreign Produced Marvel Comics Original Stories

Didn't DH: The Body in Question come out *during* the serialisation in Strip - and, indeed, fairly early on, maybe with only a chapter or two published as a serial? I'm sure we found that out a few years ago during the last time we did a DH overhaul.

Re: Expanding the Mark Gruenwald entry

Also, Gruenwald died August 12, 1996, and M/H&L '96 came out nine days later, so I don't think it was meant as a memorial to him. It literally couldn't be a tribute. Comics are printed at least 20 days before the release date. Doesn't mean it couldn't be a more general homage, of course. But I'...

Re: Death's Head (Earth-5555) in REVWAR and on

And having just written that, I can't help but wonder if the REVWAR writers actually did intend to have Tuck's actions create a divergent version of DH who didn't get absorbed into Minion, thus allowing them to use both versions as contemporaries in future. Mebbe, but we haven't seen any follow-up ...

Re: Death's Head (Earth-5555) in REVWAR and on

Given Death's Head's comments about Iron Man and his body being recently rebuilt, I'd suggest the writer at least intended that sequence to be soon after Iron Man 2020 ripped DH's head off in Death's Head I#10. Since that story led almost directly into the DH: Body in Question GN, then between that...

Re: Death's Head (Earth-5555) in REVWAR and on

Okay, quick notes on status in each issue. This is... uh... worse than I thought. AVENGSM 17 is also clearly in the wrong place, and everything post-DHGOLD definitely needs to get pulled back. And he appears to bounce between giant and human size whichever way you put it. This is in current order: D...

Death's Head (Earth-5555) in REVWAR and on

Okay, kind of a marker for later use, but Death's Head's chronology appears to be a mess. It currently ends in: DEATH'S HEAD | EARTH-5555 [...] DWHOMAG 173 IDH 12 DHII 1 (1 - 18:2) DHII 1 (18:3 - 20:1) ~ DHII2 9 (9:1:3 - 10) DHII 1 (20:2 - 20:4) DHII2 9 (14:1 - 14:3) DHII 1 (20:5) DHII2 9 (14:4 - 15...

Re: Cyclops (I)

If we are assuming that the background character in the Punisher issue being the TOS Cyclops is a misidentification, then they're nameless and shouldn't be listed, no?

Re: The rolling post-Inferno X-titles thread

Only one X-book this week, IMMORTAL X-MEN #8, and it takes place entirely in 1943 and 1895--although it's narrated by Destiny in the present day. (Would Destiny then be -OP for the entire issue, and also in two different -FBs? I know narrators of flashbacks aren't often singled out, but I wonder if...
