Re: The rolling post-Inferno X-titles thread

As for Irene (born ca 1870), some rejuvenation must have taken place at some point. She was more than 100 years old when Claremont introduced her and, with the sliding time scale, close to 150 (beyond the human limit) when she died. Destiny supposedly joined Project: Black Womb in the 1940s (in X-M...

Re: The rolling post-Inferno X-titles thread

It is always a tricky matter to delve into the age of characters, but I always had the idea that Kurt is about the same age as Ororo. Xavier met a young Ororo when he was still walking, so I would say that it can fit that Raven and Irene approached him when he was still walking until a decade or so...

Frank wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 12:30 pm Released after iron man 116, daredevil 158 must logically arrive after iron man 116 to respect the continuity of events.
Iron Man 116 was published in November 1978, while Daredevil 158 was published in May 1979.

Re: Black Widow in DD 159

Moving back DD 158-159 so early makes a problem with the Ani-Men : the first ones are killed in IM 116, and we see them in a morgue in DD 158 (8:1)-FB. But now DD 158-159 is before T 271 for Daredevil, and T 271 is before IM 116 for Iron Man. That flashback in DD 158 is not connected chronologicall...

Re: Early Triton

Triton says, "I knew your mother before you Namor." And Namor answers "Be grateful, old man." Triton also saves a boy from the Lusitania in 1915 and meets him as an elderly in the present. Namor being born ca 1920, Triton would indeed be very old. Not necessarily, as Princess Fe...

Re: Mandarin/Super Soldiers Chronology issue

Extra Footwork Needed: If the entire run of SSOLS needs to be pushed back to reflect these changes, then appearances by US Agent, Captain America, Nick Fury, and the Punisher will need to be re-examined. There is also an appearance by members of the X-Men but those are in a flashback from "a f...

Note that Matt is typically the type of character who does not mind flirting when he already has a romantic tie. From him flirting with Moondragon when he was with Black Widow, to his flirting with Black Widow and Elektra while he was with Karen Page to having sex with Black Cat while he's starting...

Re: Missing villains and "imposters" in Savage Hulk (1996)

The Fin Fang Foom that was blown to bits in IM seems to have a different backstory (sleeping for centuries in China) from the one in Hulk vs Fin Fang Foom & Hulk 78-79 (stuck for enturies in Antarctica then Monster Island). Recent issues of Agents of Wakanda (#7-8) showed him split in four but ...

I'm not sure that "Also some time ago" necessarily indicates the same event, but in the absence of any other clue... His next companion, Brenda, in Iron Fist Living Weapon 1 is a new one as he miscalls her Barbie. That turns out to be a plot point. The woman is Brenda Swanson, illegitimat...

FIN FANG FOOM Note: He got blown to bits in IM 275 and only reforms in IM3 16-18 so should not be there. He could just be another Makluan but what would make that unnamed Makluan a Hulk enemy? Re: Marvel Team-Up # 1 (1972/03) placement

In M/TU # 1, it's Christmas Eve. Spidey, on Sandman's trail, visits Johnny at the Baxter Building. Johnny says he should be with the rest of the team at Whisper Hill but isn't due to 'girlfriend problems.' The issue contains a somewhat pointless battle between heroes and villain. Spidey and the Tor...
