Re: Nick Fury BTS in Champions 11

Black Widow has CHMPS 11 before M/TU 57 in her chronology, so I'd say the first option.

Good find!

Re: Rise of the Black Panther #1

Unless they specifically say it's his anti-toxin suit I'm not too concerned with Namor's clothes, personally. There have been other flashback/implants that have him wearing it before he was supposed to, and we waved it away by saying the anti-pollution suit was designed to look like some Atlantean c...

Re: Rise of the Black Panther #1

Thanks! Yeah, if Warrior Woman is in Rise of the Black Panther #1 it can't be canon. Like the Howlers, she wasn't active until after Pearl Harbor. Heck, she gained her powers and became Warrior Woman in an issue of the Invaders (#17) which takes place in early 1942. Obviously, Cap already had his ne...

Re: Rise of the Black Panther #1

Captain America Comics #1 takes place in March 1941. The Howling Commandos were formed as a result of/reaction to the attack on Pearl Harbor (December 1941), and weren't active until a little later in early 1942. Sgt. Fury & his Howling Commandos appear in Flags of Our Fathers, so at the earliest it...

Re: Doctor Strange appearance in Incredible Hulk 207 references his appearance in Dr Strange 19

Clea also needed a break in DS2 17, and we found a missing appearance for Wong in DS2 17 (page six panel one, holding the door for Kaliph and Lord Phyffe) as well as some missing appearances for (the aforementioned) Kaliph. Also, some appearances for the real person Francis Bacon. :) Teamwork! :thum...

Re: Doctor Strange appearance in Incredible Hulk 207 references his appearance in Dr Strange 19

Dracula currently has TOD 44-FB right before TOD 44 in his chronology. Is this the scene that Doctor Strange watches thru Wong's mind? Was Wong attacked by Dracula? Or, was Wong's attack shown somewhere else, and this scene is a reminder of that? I doubt it was in DEF 25, but I'm at work and can't c...

Also, to answer the earlier question, story trumps dates (or "topical references"). In my mind, at least.

It's great if everything can line up, but sometimes they just can't.

Also, Manhattan was an uninhabited wasteland for over a decade (!) following the Human Torch/Sub-Mariner fight.

Re: and then… CONAN

Well, Star Wars has been a sales juggernaut for Marvel. It shouldn't be a surprise that they may be expanding this part of their business. And yet, I'm still surprised. I wonder if they'll tie this to the old Marvel Conan continuity, or just have a fresh start and stick it in its own universe?...

Re: Who's read it all?

I've read a good healthy percentage of it. I only just filled in my Micronauts and ROM collections this past year (ROM over the summer, Micronauts from Santa Claus), but haven't read any of them yet. I've been sitting on Runaways for yoinks. I still haven't filled in my Power Man & Iron Fist or Moon...
