Re: Rise of the Black Panther
Rise of the Black Panther #6 ends with T'Challa joining the Avengers after his appearance in Tales of Suspense vol 1 #99 (c. Mar 1968). However, it also chronicles his first battle with Erik Killmonger (mid-70s) and the revealing of Wakanda to the world (Black Panther vol 1 14 (c. Mar 1979). Is this...

Revisiting Asgardian History in light of Marvel Legacy
Hello all! I was trying to wrap my head around cycles of Ragnarok and the like, specifically based on trying to reconcile the Jarnbjorn retcons in Thor: God of Thunder with Thor's many other medieval appearances in which he always has Mjolnir. This lead me into the sinkhole which is Thor v1 293-300,...

I haven't re-read the issues side-by-side, but does it work during Second Coming?

Marvels Project and Marvel Western
I was thinking a bit about Marvel Western heroes. They, especially Kid Colt, Two-Gun Kid, Rawhide Kid, and Ghost Rider/Night Rider/Phantom Rider/etc., appear in time travel stories with the Avengers, etc. While I am not interested in every single adventure they ever had, I am interested in their ori...

Re: Fall of the Hulks: Alpha
I re-examined all the Hulk Robot issues. Just to recap the pre-FOTH:A stuff E 14 = A bunch of college students make a Hulk robot as a mascot. Dean/prof. shuts it down. The Uni-Mind imbues it with cosmic powers. E 15 = The robot runs amok fighting Ikaris E 16 = Zuras smashes the robot, causing it to ...

Re: Fall of the Hulks: Alpha
That makes sense, Michael. Since Eternals was not meant to be part of 616 when it was first published (thus the Hulk Robot which is causing this trouble in the first place), it should be relatively easy to shift it back by 24 months or so. I believe the first appearance of the Eternals in a regular ...

Re: Fall of the Hulks: Alpha
Here is what I figured out pages 1-11: I considered the scene where Egghead overlooks the Masters of Evil fighting the Avengers as a flash forward (since Leader is narrating the issue from some future time). As such the placement of the Hulk Robot places it after Eternals I 16 (probably after Eterna...

Re: X-Men: First Class - can it be canon?
One example from Paul Bourcier:
"Thanks, everyone, for the corrections and the sign-ups. I've updated the call.
And yes, First Class titles are non-canonical. I'm discontinuing their inclusion in the calls."
That was from "September Call for Analyses" dated 9/4/09.

X-Men: First Class - can it be canon?
I have been waiting for a while for someone to try to fit X-Men: First Class into canon. After much searching, I read several posts saying that the MCP, following the Official Index..., was not including it. Then it was mentioned in X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas, and the question of its canonicity came ...

Two Bishops?
Hello all, Spoilers for X-Men: The Times and Life of Lucas Bishop #3. I just finished reading X-Men: The Times and Life of Lucas Bishop #3. Unlike the first two issues, which contained only minor deviations from established chronology, this last one seems to rewrite large swaths of Bishop's history,...

Re: Uncanny X-Men Annual #2
Given the art and characterization, my solution is simply to read "Selene" as "Tessa". This would not be the first time a character was called by the wrong name in a canonical comic. This seems to solve most of the other problems. As for Osborn's interactions, Tony could have bee...
