Re: PANINI COMICS!

AFAIK Spectacular Spider-man and Marvel Heroes are the 2 that have original stories, and I think both have been that way since they started. They're aimed at a younger market than the US reprint titles I guess, and there's also an even younger comic called Spidey & Friends, but I've never bought...

Re: Coming from Marvel in July

Re: Marvelman #25 - AFAIK the issues before were UK reprints of Captain Marvel. When they stopped showing up, Mick Anglo stole the characters pretty much wholesale and started releasing his own stories.

Re: Subliminal messages in Superman Returns, Eragon and X-Men 3

Its a nice gag, but photoshopped I'm sure. Eragon wasn't released till nearly 8 months after X3 so it seems very unlikely that a cinema would have advertised all 3 as 'coming soon' at the same time.

Re: Coming from Marvel in September

Agreed, and according to Amazon (who have admittedly been wrong before), it'll be closely followed by Essential Golden Age Sub-Mariner.

I'll have to check but I have a feeling there were only 2? One for the Avengers and one for Iron Man?

LMAO @ "full support of the fans, much like we did with Spider-Man and ‘Brand New Day.’”

Re: If you were writing your own comic.....

Human Torch
Iceman
Captain Britain
Joe Fixit
Hercules
Nightcrawler
John the Skrull
Wasp

A nice spread of powers and personalities I reckon, and being an imaginary team I didn't have to include Wolverine :D

Re: Willie Lumpkin rapid aging; he went from

Enda obviously reads Comic Book Legends Revealed lol I don't think there is any issue, even if you do choose to regard them as the same character. There is no reference anywhere to how much time passed between the cartoon strip and his first appearance in FF. Now if he'd been younger in FF that woul...

Re: question about the F4 and Onslaught (and some history of me

I think you can probably put this down to poor research, the writer not realising that the FF didn't come back from fighting Onslaught until a year later (pretty much to the day, according to the Heroes Return series) - long time for anyone to wait around.

Page 12

Hi everybody, wonder if someone can answer a question that's been bugging me for a while? I've noticed a number of times over the years but noticed it again when reading Essential Captain Marvel this week - the page numbering in the late 60s/early 70s tends to skip page 12, pretty much every issue. ...
