Search bugs

A few minor bugs related to the search: 1. The autocomplete for abbreviations with ampersands converts the ampersand to the html value & when selected. Example: Type PM&IF 9 into the "Go to comic" field and select PM&IF 91 from the pop-up. It will turn into PM&IF 91, which ...

Namor abbreviation for Namorita

It looks like Namorita's appearances in the 1990s Namor series are still listed with the old abbreviation, N, instead of the new abbreviation, NSUB.

Search abbreviations

You're probably aware of this but i thought it would be good to make sure (i didn't see it mentioned on these boards). It looks there there is or was an effort to update a lot of the title abbreviations on the character listings and the key, like: PPTSS -> SSM SSBL&WP -> SSWP MORBIUS -> MORB:LV ...

NFHC on the Key

Minor thing: on the Key page, NFHC/Nick Fury's Howling Commandos is given a date of 1988, but it looks like it's really the 2005 series.

Re: Giant-Size Dracula search

Belatedly confirming that refreshing fixed it. I had to do a cache-clearing refresh (Control-F5) but it worked. Thanks!

Giant-Size Dracula search

Giant-Size Dracula is abbreviated in the Key and on the Character listing pages as GSD. But on the Search page, searching for GSD finds no issues. And it's because in the Search, the issues are tagged as GSTOD. It's easy enough to guess but thought i should point it out.

Re: Marvel Graphic Novels

These prefix the title of the graphic novel with "Marvel Graphic Novel:" in the indicia: Conan: the Skull of Set (with a "TM" symbol after Marvel Graphic Novel) Roger Rabbit: Resurrection of Doom (no TM symbol) These don't list "Marvel Graphic Novel" (or similar) in the...

Re: the MCP Search

Just wanted to say I'm really glad to see it updated. It had been a while. And I love using that search. So thanks for the update. Even the .php links are fixed! (Except for the individual character pages.)

Re: How did you become a continuity buff?

I started collecting Marvel comics while Secret Wars was coming out. I had issues in various books where the characters were either leaving for or returning from Secret Wars. And then i had the actual issues from Secret Wars. Naturally, when i was ordering my comics, i stuck the issues of Secret War...

Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #71

This is a gun control "message" issue with an Oct 82 publication date. The MCP has a discrepancy with the placement of this issue. For Spider-Man and JJ, it's pushed back in publishing time to be between ASM #219-220. For all of the other supporting characters, it's placed closer to its ac...

Re: Secret Empire

Prior to the Captain America, they were mainly in Tales to Astonish (mostly Hulk, with a nice semi-crossover into the Namor side for a few issues): http://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/entries/tales_to_astonish_7880.shtml http://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/entries/tales_to_astonish_828...
