Re: Dividing Marvel Comics up into "Seasons" (or "Phases")...

Hmm, you guys are much more broad in the span of years for the "seasons". Some random thoughts: What Col. Fury describes sounds more like "Eras" (which, admittedly, is one of the words I tossed out in the opening post above). Like "The Jim Shooter Era" and the "Joe...

Dividing Marvel Comics up into "Seasons" (or "Phases")...

Hey there. To some of you, long time no see. Others here, nice to meet you. :) I've been thinking on something a bit lately, and figured I'd toss this out to all of the "Marvel chronology" lovers out there: As you all probably know, Marvel's taken to dividing their movies up into "Pha...

Re: Question about reading habits? How do you track your Marvel reading material?

When I get caught up on Marvel, I'll read complete stories at a time from the various titles, roughly according to publication, across the universe. I don't want to get caught up on say, Spider-Man but still be two years behind on X-Men. That's probably what I'll do. But that resembles more along t...

Question about reading habits? How do you track your Marvel reading material?

I just wanted to see how other MCP members go about reading their Marvel comics: Are you still a "head to the comic shop and get all your latest weekly purchases, and read them that same night?" Do you spread reading your issues over a week, or is there a specific day where you sit down an...

Re: Some missing bits?

(hangs head in shame)

I thought I was responding to a thread last posted in on January 30th, 2018, but nope, I now see that was January 30th, 2017.

Still going through and playing catch up on several things. Please forgive me.

Re: Some missing bits?

Spider-Man vs. Vampires #1 (2010) (this was a digital comic before it was printed) I've read this one recently, it's canon. I think it was just accidentally overlooked. Peter is mentioned as attending college at ESU, he has a team-up adventure with Blade (it's accepted that they've known each other...

"Avengers" stars help life long Marvel fan dying of cancer.

Story found here: https://www.yahoo.com/movies/avengers-assemble-on-social-media-to-support-marvel-86319518527.html The second movie in Marvel’s Avengers series may still be a year away, but the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes re-assembled for a mission more down to earth that fighting alien invasions or k...

Re: How many X-Men has Wolverine had sex with?

"Wolverine: The Best There Is" #7-12 (the final story arc before that title was cancelled) has Wolverine and Dazzler of all people beginning a relationship with each other (mostly flirting, at first). Issue #12 (the conclusion of the story arc) ends back on Utopia island, with Wolverine sn...

Re: Issues, scenes or flashbacks set in the Age of Apocalyps

I don't have the issue by hand right now, but isn't there a flashback (to AoA-295)in EXILES v1 #1? The one where Blink falls through the cracks into the desert. IF I'm able to find the issue, I'll check. Confirmed. There's a flashback to Blink's life prior to Exiles #1. In it, we see Blink as a chi...

Re: H3 106-FB

The only indicator that would suggest the story takes place later is Jen's dialogue that shows she knows Bruce is the Hulk. Without that, I don't think anyone would be in doubt as to the story taking place much earlier. And when the handbooks did the She-Hulk's entry, we queried what was said with ...

Re: H3 106-FB

That early? Wow. Well, Jen HAD to know Bruce was Hulk in Savage She-Hulk #1 then, didn't she? Does she actually say she didn't know in Savage She-Hulk #1? Bruce confesses to her that he's the Hulk in Savage She-Hulk #1. Bruce: "Jen, I'm a wanted man! The police are after me! The army! Sometime...

Re: Whatever happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. Volume 2?

This was just answered in the "Axel-In-Charge" column yesterday, as a matter of fact: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=38761 From the article: EarthOneComics stopped in to check on a fan favorite series, asking: "I'm a big fan of Jonathan Hickman's S.H.I.E.L.D. s...

Re: R.I.P. Gene Colan

I'll just repeat what I said on another forum: Ah man, this is the passing of a legend. Him, John Buscema and Dave Cockrum were fantastic artists in the 70's, and those three are the "trinity" of best artists for that era. Colan's passing was the last of those three, I believe. Everyone sh...

New Avengers #53 & 54 identification help

Can anyone tell who all of the characters are that the Eye of Agamotto is displaying in New Avengers #53 and 54?

I see Selene, Dr. Doom, the Hood, Brother Voodoo, Scarlet Witch...and a bunch of people I don't recognize.
