What is the most CURRENT Marvel Index published?

Is it the small yellow paperbacks? or are they just reprints of the last series??

And is there a thread or a list of the Marvel (and DC) indices around??

I think i have a complete set of just about everything (accidentally, of course) but just checking.

TIA

Re: Who's read it all?

Probably 90%+ of the pre-Secret Wars Marvel (excluding Conan and Western, Millie and other outlier stuff). Gobs of trips to used book stores, flea markets and just sitting on the floor of the store reading from about '68 onwards.

Re: what are your Marvel firsts?

Marvel Tales #13. Coverless in the back seat of the '67 Dodge Dart (Dad hated that car. Engine too small. Paid too much for it, ect.) i can remember reading the Spidey story and the square spine with Marvel Tales on it. We were picking up a large stand up chrome Art Deco style fan (Mom and Dad's hou...

Re: Marvel Mystery Comics #17-20

Probably have to look at each one on an individual case by case basis. If they seem not to follow general continuity, or just plain wrong about things, then they are not eligible for inclusion. I have the same problem with Hop Harrigan text stories. Early ones follow story continuity, but after WWII...

Re: USA Comics #5-8

Thanks for doing these books Col.! I'm doing similar work over on the Unofficial Guide to the DC Universe more or less chronologically (just got out of WWII) and i can understand how much dreck you have to read through to get to the good stuff! If i have to read another story with the Three Dimwits ...

While indexing the Golden Age DCU books, I found that theft of radium is probably a national epidemic.

Just posting to see if there was any reason for putting the seasonal comics (Spring, Summer, ect) in a different location.

Re: *Waves from the other mountaintop*

I won't name names, because sometimes, I have to work with people, but I'm in the unique position of maintaining an obligation to the Project. So, yeah, there are plenty of times that I find myself reading a book, when there are other things I'd rather do, and if not for the Project, I'd never read...

Howdy all! My name's Jim (Doty!) and i'm not a current Marvel reader/collector (but have been in the past, more on that later), but love indexing and chronology-building and Who's Who writing on another website (Unofficial Guide to the DC Universe) and just thought i would just throw out a few rando...

Re: Organizing your collection

I'm not buying new books anymore, and gotten rid of a lot of my floppies, but here's how i had it set up: In an old comic rack (like the kind you would see on the front of a counter in a 7Eleven) I had 16 slots for new books, with the last 24 issues of series that i was collecting. When the number d...

Hulk vs Superman chronology questions

In indexing the book "Incredible Hulk vs Superman" for the Unofficial Guide to the DC Universe, i would like to enter before and after appearances for the characters. Since they are not standard 616 characters, would anyone have an idea where they appear in relation to the regular characters chronol...
