Re: MAX Universe

I just wonder if it's time to either adopt a MAX universe or, come right out and say all the MAX books are in the 616.

The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe names several alternate realities, this being one of them.

Thank you. I don't know how the handbook would come up with that number, except that the MAX series started in 2001, and they only wanted to do 11 different ones?

Re: MAX Universe

Well, the Punisher and Nick Fury MAX books exist in the same universe (Earth-200111), seperate from the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616). However, the other MAX books don't exist in the same universe. Alias (starring Jessica Jones, who is now married to Luke Cage), for example, is set on Earth-616....

Re: Sgt Fury # 34 - Origin of the Howlers

Thanks for that clarification. I wasn't aware of that detail. If that is true, then the similarity between Fury and Rogers reduces somewhat.

Re: Sgt Fury # 34 - Origin of the Howlers

I was lucky enough to get this from a back issues friend. Though it doesn't give details of how Nick became a Sargent, it becomes pretty evident that Nick takes things into his own hands and makes things happen. So here is the Synopsis I have been waiting for. The issue spends a lot of time on a sin...

Re: Sgt Fury # 34 - Origin of the Howlers

There's a synopsis here, but it may not be detailed enough for what you are looking for: http://marvel.wikia.com/Sgt_Fury_and_his_Howling_Commandos_Vol_1_34 Yes,thanks. I've seen this one. But I need a little more detail. I was wondering if anyone has read the book that might be able to speak more ...

Sgt Fury # 34 - Origin of the Howlers

Does anybody have a synopsis for this book. I can't locate it, and I feel it's important to knowing the background to why Nick Fury has a group like this. It's not as though Nick was assigned a regular army group and they just stuck by him. Something else happened to make them special forces.

Thanks Paul. I didn't think the JFK assasination was referenced either.

Marvel Calendar - Year 1 -19

Paul Bourcier, does the rest of the Calendar exist and where could I go to find it? I have a question about whether Stan Lee mentioned the assasination of JFK in the books, or whether fans mentioned it in the letters pages in 1963 and 1964 (JFK Died November 22, 1963). Considering how Marvel have tr...

Mastermind FB in New Avengers #9

I have since read New Avengers #9 and I note that the exerpt regarding Mastermind and the General has not been placed as a flashback, (at least not in the available years listed). Can anyone hazard a guess as to when the General defeated the Sentry? Is it perhaps as soon as a few weeks before New Av...
