Re: Mother Teresa of Calcutta #1 (1984)

NOTE: No one in the audience when Mother Teresa accepts the Nobel Peace Prize is named, but I would bet some more historical figures could be added as being off-panel if one wanted to do the research. Adding people who are behind the scenes at historical events seems like a bad precedent to start.....

Re: USA Comics #5-8

USA COMICS #5 (Summer 1942) 5th Story : By ??? This Blue Blade story is already in the MCP. The TWELVE series retconned the Blue Blade into an actor, which means this adventure is likely just a serial picture (or something). That makes a lot more sense than a guy with a cape and no shirt riding his...

No chronology for Stuporman? He actually has three other appearances I'm aware of: Snap vol. 1 #2, Snap vol. 1 #3, Joker vol. 1 #4.
He's also in Comedy Comics #11!

Moon Knight in Japan

Just learned that there were some original Moon Knight stories produced in Japan in 1979-80. Don't know if they are Earth-616 or not.

Re: Deadpool: Back in Black #1-5

In the publicity leading up to the Star Comics launch (i'm pretty sure in Marvel Age , maybe in other places too), Marvel was quite clear that the various Star comics were not set in the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616) -- except for one, which they were not naming yet. And they never did name that ...

Re: Question about several comic books

Hello. Can you tel me, are those comics really considered canon for Earth-616? In which handbooks they were mentioned? Marvel Classics Comics #1, 3, 4, 11, 12, 16, 28, 30, 34, 36 Personally, I don't think Marvel Classics Comics #1, 3, 4, 11 & 12 should be considered canon. They are reprints of comi...

Re: Frank Drake in TOD3

Actually, the Nightstalkers series kind of referenced TOD3 (although those references weren't explicit and could be referring to an untold story), and that's probably why the handbooks have worked hard to explain TOD3 as canon. Still, I wish they would have left it out.

Re: Frank Drake in TOD3

The real-life explanation is that TOD3 was intended to be a continuation of TOD1 that ignored everything else done since (including, apparently, TOD2). It was Wolfman's own private sandbox, outside Earth-616 canon. In recent years, the handbook writers have worked hard to bring it into Earth-616. I'...

Another foreign comic that may need added someday (or maybe not, because it's a crossover):

Re: Obnoxio the Clown #1 & misc.

It's been a while since I read it, but the birthday party in Special Edition X-Men #1/2 isn't actually on Kitty's birthday, is it? IIRC, the party is to make up for not being able to have a party on her actual birthday (so it's some unspecified time afterward). In my head canon, formed back when the...

Re: Some Stories Missing from MCP

A similar sort of case was uncovered a couple years ago with Star Wars. Back in the late 80s, a comic publisher in Spain published a series of original Droids and Ewoks comics tying into the cartoons. LFL has no record of a licensing agreement with the publisher and the current LFL employees had ne...

Re: Some Stories Missing from MCP

I didn't find anything about Tom Brevoort's thoughts on it, but I'm willing to bet his thoughts are similar to Jim Shooter's. If anyone finds something on Brevoort I'd be interested to read it, though! :) Shooter's statement is most likely what I was thinking of. So there's probably no Brevoort sta...
