Re: Time of Tales of Asgard, Raven Banner, etc.

The only specific in the eye's story that is true is that Thor is Gaia/Jord's kid, and the only other thing that has any truth to it is that there were previous Asgardian cycles. And, hell, even Garak from DS9 mixed a touch of truth into his habitual lies. NONE of the other specifics - Odin being fu...

Re: ALIAS 9

I don't have this issue (or any other issue of Alias) to double-check, but wouldn't this have been during the "aged Rick" story in Captain Marvel? Just for corroboration

Re: Time of Tales of Asgard, Raven Banner, etc.

Given Thor v3 #8, any references to non-blond Thors interacting with humanity should be taken with gallons of salt.

Plus, the eye's version of events was retconned by Simonson & you know it Enda.

Re: March Sales

Largest percentage increase for the month (in a tight race) goes to X-Force #2, with a 622% jump. That's what we call a "screw-up" - X-Force #1 was the top-selling issue of February at 105k, and it's actually fallen by 22.3% month-on-month. What Mr Mayo's done is taken the X-Force #2 numbers relati...

Re: X-Men: First Class v2 #6-8/9 & 11

Points: 1) I'm not convinced any chronological references made by the X-Men themselves in this issue are... entirely reliable, by the nature of the story. Just as a loophole. 2) That's not the Blackbird in X:FC2 11, which is the jet in X:FC1 5. It's one of their earlier jets (either the "thought-con...

X-Men: First Class v2 #6/2, 8 & 11

I'm noticing that there's a distinct lack of posting about #11 so far here :) Leaving aside the meta stuff for the moment, I'm using this thread because aspects of X:FC2 6/2 and X:FC2 8 get picked up in this issue - the "Mysterio escapes" newspaper headline from the #6 backup, and the reality-warpin...

Re: Spider-Man Family v2 8

Well, since I've got you both rushing to your comics :), here's the complete list AFAICS of issues which are in both Spidey & Iceman's listings without a qualification (page ranges, etc) to make it obvious they don't meet on-panel. Some are obvious cameos (e.g., A 3, COC 1, ORDER 5) or have been cov...

Re: Spider-Man Family v2 8

I was going to toss in something about them being Amazing Friends, but I was too lazy to come up with something clever. :) Actually, now you mention it, didn't Spider-Man Family: Amazing Friends (the first of the SMF one-shots, before they started numbering them) have Bobby not knowing Pete's ID in...

X-Men: First Class Special...

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (mini-series) #1-8

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS V2 (one-shot)

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS V3 1-8
Indicia and cover on the "one-shot" are both as "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS SPECIAL NO. 1". It should be coded as X:FCS 1, not X:FC2 1, and the ongoing should be listed as v2, not v3.

Check the Archives (link at the very bottom of every forum page), especially the big discussion (not limited to the Hostess ads) in Archive 60 which is roughly contemporary with that X-Fan thread.

Re: the TWELVE 1

I'm not suggesting (unless further evidence is presented) listing the whole of Miss Fury's backstory right now. My point is that we have entries for MU-native versions of Clark Kent, Lois Lane (reporters) and Hal Jordan (mental patient convinced he has a power ring) amongst others (not to mention th...
