Re: the TWELVE 1

Now, this will sound like semantics, but... is there any evidence that the Miss Fury comic DIDN'T occur in the MU *as well as* the PH Earth?

Re: Amazing Spider-Man Family?

I think the "Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man" stories are set as a sort of "prequel" to Spider-Girl, telling stories about May's parents. In other words, they're not pre-OMD 616-canon ... they're MC2-canon. Now, they may not be MU-canon, but given that the MC2 divergence point is basically when DeFalco lef...

Re: New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!?

The FF title won't tie in to SI, as far as I know. No, ASM & F4, since they were being worked on so far in advance (reputedly, Millar & Hitch were starting on their current issues at the same time McDuffie & Pelletier were starting on their, prior, run - one reason why I take the choice of F4 costu...

Re: New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!?

Isn't FF completely post-Secret Invasion? Certainly, the continued use of the Pacheco costumes in SI & tie-ins strongly suggests a clean slate that Millar/Hitch pick up with afterwards, and you're putting the cart before the horse in placing Millar/Hitch F4 now. Anything else, barring explicit evide...

Re: Coming from Marvel in July

- FANTASTIC FOUR: TRUE STORY #1 (of 4), by Cornell & Dominguez. The FF explore the world of fiction. Sounds fun, crazy and timeless. Interview: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=15944 - It's a good a place as any to mention that the Knaufs have retroactively left IRON MAN: DIRECTOR...

Re: New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!?

Can I get a clarification on something brought up and dropped earlier in the thread - what, exactly, is the current editorial position on what characters remember about Spider-Man between Cap's arrest and BND? People were claiming earlier in the thread, on a different reading of Joe Q's interviews f...

Re: New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!?

Unless ... the Strange plot is completely dropped from here on ... I don't see the Strange situation as any more explainable. Col_Fury just explained how to get back to the NA@2 status quo! if some future comic needs Dr. Strange to be in exile, as he said he would be in New Avengers Annual #2, he f...

Re: New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!?

Unless, as I've said, the Strange plot is completely dropped from here on (as the Silent War ending has now essentially been), I don't see the Strange situation as any more explainable. IF it's dropped, THEN it becomes "clumsy, but explainable" in the way you and Fury are describing - otherwise you'...

Re: New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!?

Morwen, move "Secret Invasion" to after ASM #555 and I'm right there with you. "Doctor Strange comes back" -- it's as simple as that... I'm not prepared to go with that unless Strange reappears for real, living like normal with Wong in the Sanctum at full power, with absolutely no reference (or at ...

It's... complicated. The seven* gems as a unit are, individually they're not. And, on top of that, this may only apply when they're in the Ultraverse anyway...

*Yes, seven. The seventh gem is the "Ego Gem".

Re: Damage Control #3

PS: Didn't Whedon claim in AstonishingXM that the Danger Room had been sentient for years? Shouldn't that get a listing backdated to at least the first O:ZT appearance of a functional Danger Room?

The MCP lists corpses, remember? It would still get listed :-P
