Re: Fantastic Four Annual v1 #33

Well it couldn't take place in the present day anyway, since Dr. Strange is in his full regalia here, including Eye of Agamotto. Of course, the Baxter Building may be more of a problem to placing it THAT far back, since they didn't get a new Baxter Building until 2001. So, given Strange's chronolog...

All better now. So, what was the problem? Was it something that I could have fixed myself?

Re: Fantastic Four Annual v1 #33

Reed says that "Sue and the KIDS are having a great time" so this has to take place sometime after Valeria is born in FF3 54. I agree that that's certainly what Alan Davis meant but the fact that "the kids" are not actually named leaves some wiggle room. If it were to become absolutely necessary fo...

BBC Code is off for some of my recent posts

For some reason, every post that I make in the Character Watches section has its BBC Code off. That's not the case with the rest of the posting board so I am at a complete loss to explain it. I also have no idea how to fix it. Help?

Re: Fantastic Four Annual v1 #33

The kids would be BTS. OP means the character is just off-panel, if you look to the right or left of what's shown they'd be there. It's like if Mr. Fantastic says "Hey, Johhny" but we don't see Johnny, he's OP. He right there, off-panel, but we don't see him. Ah, if that's the diference between BTS...

Re: Fantastic Four Annual v1 #33

1. All family members have the Destine surname. However, many of them use aliases as part of the Relative Strangers Protocol in order to hide their longevity. Aside from Hazard and Fortuit, other false surnames are Chance, Fate, and Gamble. 2. Would the fact that "the kids" are mentioned (but not he...

Re: Fantastic Four Annual v1 #33

Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman are both VO since we readers hear their voices as they call Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm's private lines, respectively, and leave messages on their answering machines. Jimi Hendrix is mentioned only (he "hasn't even played yet") so he might be OP. William Destine ...

Analysis of ClanDestine LS

Analysis of ClanDestine LS A few comments before I begin. First, this analysis is WAY overdue. I committed to doing it back in 2008 when the miniseries was just starting but I only did a little bit of work on the first issue before stopping. I can’t really explain why, just that whenever I sat down ...

Re: Hashing out X-Men post utopa-pre regenesis

And there IS a gap between issues - although arguably it may fall between 224.1 (22:1:1) and (22:1) rather than 224.1 & 225, since the last page of the .1 issue is a cut away from the team leading more directly to the next story - and there's a reference that his visit to the farm in #226 makes it ...

Re: Nick Fury vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. #1-6

While I enjoyed your analysis and found it to be mostly accurate, I must disagree with one element of it. Throughout your analysis, you consistently refer to the Deltites as LMDs. That is a poorly-executed retcon that originated in either the second Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. ongoing series (f...

Re: Whatever happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. Volume 2?

Thanks for the info about S.H.I.E.L.D. I can't say that I really enjoyed that miniseries but it did introduce some interesting ideas and I do want to see how everything plays out in the end. Of course, from a disruption-of-established-continuity standpoint, reading Hickman's revelations/retcons is l...

Whatever happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. Volume 2?

Did Jonathan Hickman's S.H.I.E.L.D. Volume Two ever end? It was supposed to be a 6-issue miniseries but I only have the first four issues. I was thinking that I must have somehow missed the final two issues but I've since checked and I can't find any solicitations for them in the Marvel Previews. So...

Re: Valkyrie in Avengers #83

Maybe this will make things clearer. In the 1970's, there were three different versions of the "Valkyrie" character. All three Valkries had the exact same appearance and they all possessed the power of the true Valkyrie (Brunhilde) but the physical bodies involved were totally different. 1. A charac...

Re: New Marvels on April 4

I believe that that OMG issue is missing because Wolframbane gets his lists of New Releases from those that are posted on the PREVIEWS website. Avengers vs. X-Men #1 was actually shipped to comic shops last week but with an advisory that copies were not to be put on sale until 4/4 (or 3/4 if the sho...
