Skaar: Son of Hulk #2-6 + "Savage World of Sakaar" one-shot

Here's the analysis for "Skaar: Son of Hulk #2-6", plus the "'Skaar: Son of Hulk' presents 'Savage World of Sakaar'" one-shot. What an absolute mess this was to analyze. This storyline features issues being split into two different tales, numerous flashbacks, and heavy revisions, (like the writer is...

Paul Bourcier wrote:Thanks, Kevin. As it turns out, I did decide to pick up Planet Hulk: Prologue, so you can scratch that off your to-do list!
Hmm, okay. I might end up posting analysis for it anyway, depending on how it goes...

Sorry for the delayed response, but: yes.

Look for my analysis to come in the next few days...

Re: August call for analyses

Incredible Hulk #601 I'll handle this issue, (and all issues onward)...for now. Planet Skaar Prologue I'll handle this as well, and it should be moved to the "completed" stack. Son of Hulk #13-15 Son of Hulk #16 And yeah, I'll take these.... My analysis for Skaar #2-6 will be up in the next few day...

Re: Beta Ray Bill: The Green of Eden (one-shot) Analysis

Thanks for the analysis, Kevin. One question: does this story take place over the course of a single day? The main part of it, more than likely, does occur on the same day, (though the passage of time in these outer space stories is never clear). On the other hand, the last page epilogue, (pg. 30) ...

Chronology Review - World War Hulk Aftersmash: Warbound #1-5

World War Hulk: Warbound #1-5 Written by Greg Pak Art by Leonard Kirk and Rafa Sandoval I know that Paul doesn't have this mini-series on his list of requests for analysis, but as it contains several key flashbacks to events on Sakaar, I felt that I needed to go through this before tackling "Skaar:...

Re: February call for analyses

I suppose this thread is the best place for me to let you know that I finally got around to reading all of December's "What If" one-shots, and none of them feature appearances by the "real" Uatu, and nor do any of them feature canon scenes set in the real "Earth-616". Secret Invasion Aftermath: Beta...

Re: NYCC bits and bobs...

[So, as rumoured, Wolverine: Weapon X is indeed an Invincible Iron Man-style overlapping-relaunch]. Thus assuring that I will be dropping the old "Wolverine" title in favor of the new one by Jason Aaron. Nothing against Daken or Daniel Way, but money's tight, and I know which Wolverine I'd rather f...

So..."1985": Is it canon?

The recent "1985" mini-series features Marvel supervillains and superheroes traveling to the "real" world of 1985. Is it canon? Just having these characters visit a different dimension in and of itself isn't so bad, but the characterization by several of the villains seems off...the Lizard speaks co...

Re: Fifty State Initiative

Also, I don't remember the Shadow Team being strictly assigned to Connecticut. If anything, with the Stamford massacre occuring in that state, I would think the Initiative would assign a more open team to represent that state.
