Re: New Marvels on July 30

Looks like 6, possibly 7, for me...still undecided about the "X-Men: Odd Men Out" one-shot.

Re: New Marvels on July 23

You keep saying that - but really? I checked: http://marvel.com/catalog/?date=2008-07-30 and it's like a 3, mayyyybe 4-book week for me... Going by that list, I'll have a 6 or 7 book week that last week of July...how is this possible?!? There's no week this month where I get barraged with 16 to 18 ...

Re: New Marvels on July 23

7 for me...maybe 8, depending on how useful I find that "Skrulls!" one-shot to be, when I flip through it at the comic shop...

I suspect the final Wednesday of July will be where Marvel annihilates us, the readers, with a barrage of titles...

Re: New Marvels on July 16

11 for me. A pretty heavy week, and yet I suspect, the worst is yet to come by the end of the month...

Re: Skaar: Son of Hulk #1 Analysis

Good points, and I agree with your suggestions.

The hardest part is always interweaving these montage flashbacks, making sure the new material gets added in... :|

Skaar: Son of Hulk #1 Analysis

Skaar: Son of Hulk #1: Written by Greg Pak Artwork by Ron Garney I've read the first issue, and this appears to be the type of series that can be analyzed issue by issue. It'll have little to do with events on Marvel Earth, (and probably little to do with the "cosmic" titles like "Nova" and "Guardi...

Re: New Marvels on July 9

I'll be getting 8 comics for sure. I'm still undecided about whether I want to bother with "Captain America: White #0". I might thumb through it and pick it up on a whim.

Re: New Marvels on July 2

I'll be getting 5 for sure. Of those 5, one of them will be "non-Earth 616" stuff: Squadron Supreme #1 . I can't stand JMS's writing anymore, but I enjoyed his run on "Supreme Power" a few years back. Thus, I'll pick up the Squadron as it has a new writer...at least the 1st issue...then we'll decide...

Fantastic Four #557

In the latest instance of "marking of the passage of time", in the latest Fantastic Four issue, Reed and Sue travel back in time "13 years ago", to when they first met in their adult lives, (Pre-FF#1). So if this is to be believed, it's been less than 13 years since FF #1. I'm not buying it.

Re: New Marvels on June 25

16 books this week. The only "non Earth-616" one being "Marvel: 1985", which I suspect actually will turn out to be canon to Earth-616...

Re: Alternate Universe Checklist questions

I originally posted this in the Checklist forum, but the thread was moved from there to the Alternate Universe forum. I assume Col_Fury moved it because this is a better location for continued discussion of the Exiles question, but this isn't where I originally posted. In retrospect I guess I shoul...

Re: Alternate Universe Checklist questions

I noticed that a number of books which involve inter-universe crossovers are listed on more than one checklist (for example, Spider-Man 2099 meets Spider-Man, Black Panther 27-30, Ultimate FF 21-23,30-32, Ultimate Power). Assuming this is the general policy, Doom 2099 #25, 40-43, which are included...

Re: *sigh*

Somebody wrote:That's an "it's magic, we don't have to explain it"-quality explanation that is.
Should've guessed that would be the case. Looks like it's up to us then, to sort things out.

I'm still waiting for a rationale explanation to the amount of time that's passed!

Re: New Marvels on June 11

Wow, I'll only be getting 4 books...maybe 5 books this next week!!! How long has it been since that happened?!? :D Still undecided on "Eternals"...anyone have an opinion one way or the other about the title? The father and son "Knauf" team have proven they can write Iron Man, in my eyes, but I'm jus...
