Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

And why does my solution require "weeks" between the two books? Is this one of those "well, weeks pass in book X even though only days pass in book Y" situations? The Marvel Universe is LITTERED with stuff like that -- temporal references are easily overruled in my book, since they're more or less ...

Re: Jean Grey's Appearances in Atlantis Attacks

Blame New Mutants Annual 5. If you ignore it, most of the other continuity can be squeezed in.

Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

So, yes, creating a gap "violates his intent", just as assuming replacement armor. But it keeps the spirit of his story intact -- albeit with a lot of stuff shoveled between pages -- whereas "replacement armor" kind of takes the wind out of that plot point's sails. Fixing this basically boils down ...

Re: Jean Grey's Appearances in Atlantis Attacks

Because the X-Factor 50 story has Apocalypse saying that Caliban's mission on Earth must start soon and X-Factor 51 story has Apocalypse deciding that Caliban must leave him and go off on his own and Caliban leaving.

Re: Jean Grey's Appearances in Atlantis Attacks

I thought of that too but it doesn't work. Caliban appears in X-Factor 50, and it clearly takes place prior to his appearance in X-Factor 51, where he and Apocalypse watch X-Factor return to Earth.

Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

Yes, we can assume that the X-Men were all forced to get new costumes (and comb their hair) -- but we don't have any in-book evidence that they did that (do we)? I'm starting to think that it was Claremont's intent to tell the armor's origin story in the Wolverine arc -- and therefore have the Wolv...

Loki in Avengers 311

Loki's chronology reads the following:
Loki
CA 365
A@ 19/3-FB
A 311
Now, in Cap 365, Cap and Namor find out Hydrobase is sunk. In Avengers 311, Hydrobase IS sunk. Obviously, Avengers 311 has to happen before Cap 365.

Jean Grey's Appearances in Atlantis Attacks

I just realized something during the Wolverine Vol. 2 #19 discussion- Jean Grey's appearances in Atlantis Attacks cannot take place anywhere in continuity. New Mutants Annual 5, part 9 of Atlantis Attacks, has to take place during New Mutants 87. That means that Jean's appearances in Atlantis Attack...

Re: Wolverine Vol.2 19

I just realized what the problem is with Wolverine Vol.2 #19. It ties into the problems we're having with Atlantis Attacks. Like you've said, Wolverine Vol.2 #19 has to take place has to take place after Captain America 365. Now Captain America 365 has to take place after Atlantis Attacks, since WCA...

Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

Yeah, but while the armor was transformed, it was damaged by Sabretooth. It's possible that the armor went back to normal but the damage Sabretooth did remained. Another possibility- do we know that the X-Men's costumes went back to normal? It's possible the X-Men just burned them and made new costu...

Wolverine Vol.2 19

I was looking over Wolverine's chronology to try and figure out which "death" of Sabretooth's was referred to in X-Men 251 and I noticed something strange about Wolverine Vol.2 # 19. Look at the Kingpin's chronology: Kingpin CA 365 PWJ 12 PWJ 13 W2 19 Now look at Wolverine's chronology: Wolverine W2...

Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

(Hey, what about this? What if X-Men Annual #12 takes place AFTER the end of the Evolutionary War? Obviously that was not the intent, but does it hurt anything? Is that too crazy???) Are you being sarcastic? No, it doesn't work. The restored Savage Land next appears in West Coast Avengers Annual 3,...

Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

I just thought of another reason why Logan might think Sabretooth is dead in X-Men 251. In the Assassin Nation plot in Amazing Spider-Man, Sabretooth gets into a fight with Captain America and Silver Sable and is believed to be dead at the end of that fight. It's possible Logan heard about that figh...

Scott and Jean's Slow and Leisurely Trip to Rescue Nathan

Yeah, but Wolverine's appearances in issues 7-8 HAVE to take place after Inferno. Here's why: The Hulk's appearance in Avengers Annual 17 takes place before the spell that prevents him from reverting to Banner wears off. The problem is this: in X-Factor 34, Jean and Scott are ready to go from New Yo...

Re: Wolverine Vol2 7

Or we could just assume that this was a replacement for the armor damaged in X-Men 243, which doesn't involve splitting either of the issues up. Is there any reason, aside from the Index, that this doesn't work?
