Re: NYCC bits and bobs...

[So, as rumoured, Wolverine: Weapon X is indeed an Invincible Iron Man-style overlapping-relaunch]. Thus assuring that I will be dropping the old "Wolverine" title in favor of the new one by Jason Aaron. Nothing against Daken or Daniel Way, but money's tight, and I know which Wolverine I'...

So..."1985": Is it canon?

The recent "1985" mini-series features Marvel supervillains and superheroes traveling to the "real" world of 1985. Is it canon? Just having these characters visit a different dimension in and of itself isn't so bad, but the characterization by several of the villains seems off......

Re: Fifty State Initiative

Also, I don't remember the Shadow Team being strictly assigned to Connecticut. If anything, with the Stamford massacre occuring in that state, I would think the Initiative would assign a more open team to represent that state.

Re: New Marvels on December 17

After massive scaling back on title purchases, (due to current financial crisis) I'm down to...4 issues this week.

AVENGERS INITIATIVE #19
GHOST RIDER #30
WHAT IF...? NEWER FANTASTIC FOUR
X-MEN: KINGBREAKER #1 (OF 4)

Re: New Marvels on December 10

...but will you get the trade? Probably not. It'd look pretty ackward for a Garth Ennis Punisher TPB to be sitting on my book shelf while the rest of my Garth Ennis Punisher collection is in the long boxes. I'll probably try and hunt down this mini-series in the back issue bins a couple years from ...

Re: New Marvels on December 10

Just 4 this week, it would appear. I was very much pumped up for the "Punisher War Zone" mini-series, but then I saw the price tag: $3.99. $3.99! FOR A WEEKLY SERIES!! So yeah, I'm passing on it. i really liked the art previews for WOZ, so i may buy it just for that. which is funny ...

Re: December call for analyses

Skaar: Son of Hulk #7-?
Put me down for this title for the foreseeable future. Also, the "Savage World of Sakaar" one-shot fits neatly inbetween Issues 3 and 4, so I'll submit my analysis for it at the same time as I do Issues #2-6.

Re: Nova v4 #13-19

Okay, I was going to do an analysis of Issues #13-15, but hadn't been able to find time. Thanks for doing it for me though. One quick point: HARROW NO4 13-OP NO4 14-OP NO4 15 I may be mistaken, but even though no flashback was shown, shouldn't we list a "BTS" for Harrow back during the &qu...

11 for me this week. Would've been 14, except I've dropped:

Hulk
She-Hulk
Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch, (Just say "NO!" to all $3.99 priced mini-series)!

Re: New Marvels on November 19

I dropped X-Factor too, but Thunderbolts is one of my favorites - something about an permanently dysfunctional team of non-heroes gets me going. And I've been enjoying Millar's FF run, too. But I dropped X-Men Legacy right after "Messiah Complex" - has it improved? (X-Force has been my fa...

Re: New Marvels on November 19

I'm cutting back on titles, (why the hell are almost all Marvel mini-series now $3.99?) but anyway, I'll be getting 6 issues this week. I've dropped Thunderbolts and X-Factor, and I'm on the fence about dropping Fantastic Four...if I pick that up, that'll bring me up to 7. And yeah, I dropped Punish...

Re: Hank Pym/Skrull in Mighty Avengers #15/New Avengers #42

EDIT: And looking about the internet, I find someone saying that the latest Skrull Pym calls himself Criti Noll in Avengers: The Initiative #14. Can anyone who reads that book confirm? Confirmed. In a flashback to the attack by K.I.A., (back in Issues #9-12) Skrulljacket thinks, "Again, there ...
