Re: New Marvels on August 27
15 "Canon" books for me this week, but I'll also be getting "Kick Ass #4", so that's 16 total...crap. It seems like every single week this month has been swamped with titles, for me!

Re: New Marvels on August 20
9 for sure...maybe 10, if I end up buying Punisher 61, (Ennis, why have you forsaken us?!?)
What the hell was Marvel thinking with this "rotating crime fiction writer" stuff on Punisher? PUT JASON AARON ON PUNISHER NOW!!!

Re: New Marvels on August 13
10 "canon" comic books for me. Make it "11" if I can manage to snatch up a copy of "Punisher kills the Marvel Universe".

Re: Skaar: Son of Hulk #1 Analysis
Issue #2 is out, (hopefully I'll have analysis shortly) but I found it worth noting here that the narration by Caiera continues in it. So does she deserve a MCP entry for Issue #2? Is her soul still lingering on, (Obi-wan Kenobi style)? Her narration is speaking in broad terms: "O, my beautiful...

Re: New Marvels on August 6
I'll be getting 5 for sure, maybe 6 or 7...The "King Size Spidey" and Wolverine one-shots are optional, at this point. Dropped: ETERNALS - it was "eh". Didn't grab me. Likewise for me. The artwork is what turned me off. SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE SEASON 2 #1 (OF 5) Not getting th...

Put me down for that one as well.Skaar: Son of Hulk Presents: Savage World of Sakaar
I'll at least do the analysis for this arc. Upcoming arcs, well, we will have to see...Nova v4 #13-15

Looks like 6, possibly 7, for me...still undecided about the "X-Men: Odd Men Out" one-shot.

Re: New Marvels on July 23
You keep saying that - but really? I checked: http://marvel.com/catalog/?date=2008-07-30 and it's like a 3, mayyyybe 4-book week for me... Going by that list, I'll have a 6 or 7 book week that last week of July...how is this possible?!? There's no week this month where I get barraged with 16 to 18 ...

Re: New Marvels on July 23
7 for me...maybe 8, depending on how useful I find that "Skrulls!" one-shot to be, when I flip through it at the comic shop...
I suspect the final Wednesday of July will be where Marvel annihilates us, the readers, with a barrage of titles...

Good points, and I agree with your suggestions.

Skaar: Son of Hulk #1 Analysis
Skaar: Son of Hulk #1: Written by Greg Pak Artwork by Ron Garney I've read the first issue, and this appears to be the type of series that can be analyzed issue by issue. It'll have little to do with events on Marvel Earth, (and probably little to do with the "cosmic" titles like "No...

Re: New Marvels on July 9
I'll be getting 8 comics for sure. I'm still undecided about whether I want to bother with "Captain America: White #0". I might thumb through it and pick it up on a whim.

Re: New Marvels on July 2
I'll be getting 5 for sure. Of those 5, one of them will be "non-Earth 616" stuff: Squadron Supreme #1 . I can't stand JMS's writing anymore, but I enjoyed his run on "Supreme Power" a few years back. Thus, I'll pick up the Squadron as it has a new writer...at least the 1st issue...

Fantastic Four #557
In the latest instance of "marking of the passage of time", in the latest Fantastic Four issue, Reed and Sue travel back in time "13 years ago", to when they first met in their adult lives, (Pre-FF#1). So if this is to be believed, it's been less than 13 years since FF #1. I'm no...
