That was among the many, many suggestions made back when the Index was in the process of being restarted.Jason Doty wrote:Has anyone thought of pitching Index's by year? For the collector this would be the most awesome Marvel research and collecting tool ever.

Re: Marvel Indexes
I am a big fan of the Official Index to the Marvel Universe (the newest ones), Thanks. Always nice to hear from someone who liked them. and I know that a lot of people here worked on them, Yes, the MCP guys made massive contributions to the Index series. That's not the MCP guys bigging themselves u...

Re: Senator Brickman and the All-New Savage She-Hulk
I thought Mystique killed him in W3 #63. -Jeph! Real world - ah, frak, I forgot that. And guess the writer didn't know that. Marvel universe - okay, either not the same Brickman (might be a relative, but regardless not a concern for chronology purposes) or Brickman got better (not impossible, given...

Senator Brickman and the All-New Savage She-Hulk
Not sure how or even if you'd want to include it in the chronologies, as it isn't a proper appearance, but I figure this is at least worth drawing to MCP attention. In SH5 #4, Norman Osborn is angry at Charles Little-Sky/ARMOR for rescuing Lyra from the Dark Avengers, and threatens to go to "Ch...

Re: Guardians Team-Up #8
Groot Note: I distinctly recall reading a back-up story featuring Groot and Rocket Raccoon in which they travelled to Groot’s homeworld and met others of his race. So, how did Groot come to (possibly) be “the last living member of his race?” Galactus popped by feeling in the mood for a vegetarian m...

Re: X-Men student View
However, a quick check of the Xavier Insititute entry in the handbooks does turn up a second possibility. I present Frank (later identified in the Handbooks as Frank Ludlum, Pinocchio), who turned up in X-Men Unlimited #10, and a panel from New X-Men #10 (the first panel shows our View-lookalike ag...

Re: X-Men student View
Yeah, I agree it's not conclusive, and I take your point about how it would help if we could match anyone else (presumably not one of the regulars of New X-Men) among the students as being from a prior issue. Obviously the problem that is that a lot of the depowered ones lost their visible mutations...

view_or_not.jpg One of the very minor leagues, View turned up in Gambit vol4 #10 http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix6/view.htm Then in New X-Men #20, there's a not dissimilar looking pupils amongst the ones milling around following M-Day. I think they are the same character - yes, coloring of hair is...

Re: Thor 271 Howard the Duck?
It does look like Howard. The Thor Index never discussed it, meaning neither the entry writer nor those reviewing the entry brought it up - and I suspect that all those who checked the issue simply overlooked the tiny cameo.

Re: L'Uomo Ragno: Il Segreto Del Vetro
He was an employee from when he came back (depowered) during the Spider-Ben run till the Bugle cutbacks story, wasn't he? You may well be right. I've got the odd gap in my Spidey history knowledge since the 1990s; I didn't recall any times he went from freelancer to full employee, but wasn't sure, ...

Re: L'Uomo Ragno: Il Segreto Del Vetro
Worth noting that JJJ tells Peter he'll be taking the cost of the holiday out of Peter's wages, implying he's an employee rather than freelancer. I'm not sure if there's ever been a period when that's been true. Mind you, this is just after JJJ told Peter the holiday was free to the Bugle in exchang...

L'Uomo Ragno: Il Segreto Del Vetro
Daron asked me to review this a while back, but I've only just got round to it. Apologies for my tardiness. I haven't submitted an analysis before, so apologies also for any incorrect formatting - I have deliberately included some more detail than is probably necessary, given that most people here w...

If you like. In this case, all the events not including the FF stuff are considered to have happened pretty much exactly as depicted.Col_Fury wrote:So it's like the miniseries Marvel: The End, where very similar events happened but not exactly how it was shown in the comic, right?

Re: Ultimate Spider-Man Super Special
Back when we were working on the Ultimate Handbooks we were told to treat the special as being in continuity, except for the FF bits. And indeed, a few scenes, such as the Blade appearance, do get referred back to in other stories.
