Days of Future Past characters in New Mutants I#48

MCP lists NM#48 among the appearances of many DoFP/Earth-811 characters. Unfortunately, while that issue does include a reality dominated by Sentinels and clearly reminiscent of 811 (there's even a wanted poster similar to the one adorning the cover of X-Men I#141), it isn't 811. In 811, things go d...

Story 79 some guy? JMS - Joe Michael Straczynski, the writer of the page in question, hence his regret being "Sins past" - e.g. the Spider-Man story of that name. Story 82 Korvav Korvac Plus, you skipped a page, between Silver Surfer/Galactus and the one with all the photos, one which has...

Re: Marvel Comics v2 #1000 (part 1)

Probably should mention that Story Two establishes that Ferret (Leslie Lenrow) and the Operative (Dennis Piper) are the same person. Hmm. Depending on when the story is set, this might fix the seeming problem that the Ferret apparently murdered by Nazi agents in 1940 in The Marvels Project but was ...

Story 41 Night Raven a mugger Yi Yang (bts), since it's made clear she sent the mugger. Fwiw, the story mentions that Night Raven is 130 years old. I'd treat this as a topical reference when it comes down to it. Night Raven's year of birth is set at 1900, and is an unshifting date - his origin has ...

Crimson Avenger in FB You mean Crimson Cavalier. And based purely on his uniform in this image, this is likely before the group's appearance in All-New Invaders#12. Sabbath Raven in FB Not so sure that is Sabbath. Like her name suggests, Sabbath had jet black hair, and this woman is a blonde. Plus ...

These are meant to be the same character (he even calls himself the "Thunderer" in CA 442), but we don't have See/From links: THUNDERER/JERRY CARSTAIRS DARMC 7 DARMC 8/3 BLACK AVENGER/JERRY CARSTAIRS MARVELS 1 ALLWC 6/4 CA 442 Although, there's a wrinkle in that he's killed off (calling h...

Re: Nick Fury, SHIELD & the sliding timescale

Neither Sin Cong nor Siancong is strictly the correct spelling. Both are simply slightly varying attempts to render a language properly written using logograms into our alphabet based purely on how it sounds to Western ears. c.f. Peking vs Beijing.

Edit: and if it will include any references to the tie-in comics based upon the Earth-92131 cartoons that the handbooks have established as taking place in the universe that preceded 616 (and is Galactus's home universe). Re: Captain America and the Invaders

I'm sure Roger Stern has always understood that very well. A twenty-year old Jameson in 1940 would have been 61 in 1981. Perfectly legitimate. Both Roger, and Roy Thomas, who wrote the newer issue you are discussing, generally do get the sliding timescale. Sadly there are plenty who don't, as the r...
