Re: New Marvels on July 8

X-Men Forever #3 was awesome, but then I dug the first two as well. It's shaping up to be Claremont's strongest work in a long time.

Re: New Marvels on June 10

Hey, I live in Australia - it's a great place to be! I didn't read Exiles, so I don't know how it ended up. But I've enjoyed the majority of Claremont's work on the core x-books since he returned. This is a 'core x-book' of a sort, and I loved the first issue - I really hope this book goes the dista...

Re: New Marvels on June 10

The appeal of Forever comes from it being freed of commercial shackles. Here's a chance for Claremont to pick a direction for the characters with no regard for preserving them as money-making properties. It's going to be interesting regardless of the quality, i think. (And for the record - after rea...

Re: "To me, my X-Men" -- where was it said?

Seriously, I have no idea, and I've read all of the core X-Men books multiple times. The first time I recall seeing it was during Morrison's run, but it was definitely popularised by then. It's a puzzler.

Re: Overhauling GSX & CX

Issue #2 of the new Marvel Index seems to indicate that we can disconnect that 'unknown mission' from GSX 1. They have a long round-up of all the events between X-Men #66 and GSX 1, and it is said that the X-Men are sent to Krakoa after the mission mentioned in earlier issues. (Sorry, I don't have t...

Re: Uncanny X-Men Annual #2

It seems to me that placing this around the time of Uncanny #100 is the best way to go. I wouldn't take the option of saying that this is an all-new Selene, though. The other two options are better: either this is Selene on a previously unknown trip outside of Nova Roma, or it's actually Tessa. Pers...

Uncanny X-Men Annual #2

I just got done with this yesterday. There is some interesting Dark Reign related stuff (which makes me a little more confident that Bendis isn't going to hi-jack Emma Frost) but the flashback has some major continuity issues. Basically there's a Hellfire Club meeting where Sebastian Shaw tries to g...

Re: What music/songs/bands do you associate with certain comics.

Funny, my major one is for Inferno as well. It's a bit more dichotomous than Dio, though. Dio is a good fit for Inferno. Parliament/Funkadelic, and specifically the song Bop Gun? Not so much. But I discovered that band at the same time I was reading through a friend's collection of X-Factor, so the ...

Re: New Marvels on April 30

Shouldn't the Secret Invasion tie-ins be coloured black, so that they can blend in and take us by surprise at the last moment?
