Re: Beast Chronology question regarding M/HOL 1994
Um, he and Iceman share the entire lead story. It's very hard to miss. I suspect you're looking at the Marvel Holiday Special 1993, which confusingly has "Jan 1994" on the front cover. This is the comic you want: http://image.milehighcomics.com/istore/images/fullsize/51694831010.1994.GIF -...

Go nuts.
Early 90s, eh? Cool, that fits with my suggestion for placement earlier in the thread.

Re: July call for analyses
See, and it's stuff like THIS that makes me wonder how much of the dialogue is literally translated, and how much is just added in. Was the "fifteen years" line omitted from the original by the US translation, or added by Panini? What language was the original published in? Anyone have a c...

Re: July call for analyses
Prof. X is around -- and he's in a regular wheelchair, not his hoverchair. It's one with funky doodads and hand controls, though, and they're using fun tech like "X-phones". I'd place this somewhere between Uncanny #280 and X-Men #1.

Re: July call for analyses
I think you're supposed to believe that the Brazilian creative team, unaffiliated with Marvel, has no idea about "Marvel time". Just relax and let the reference wash over you like a cool summer rain...

Re: July call for analyses
I'm having trouble locating my Much Better American Translation, but the UK (Panini) edition has Wolverine say, on the last page, that he learned the meaning of "Saudade" during his adventure in Brazil, *fifteen years ago*. Plus, yes, the kid goes from teenager to adult. It's not just more...

Wolverine: Saudade
Wolverine: Saudade is a reprint, and has already been analyzed. Poorly. As I understand it, both from interviews and from the Much Better American Translation that came out recently, the bulk of the book occurs years ago -- only the end part occurs in the Morrison run. As you can see, the "kid...

Daredevil: Dead On Arrival (Jeph) I was gonna use my Panini "Marvel Europa" TPB, which has an English translation of this issue, to do the write-up -- but it looks like Marvel's about to publish a re-translated, "official USA version" sometime in the future. (Just like they did ...

Re: Hank Pym/Skrull in Mighty Avengers #15/New Avengers #42
I wrote the Siri entry in "SKRULLS!", and I got the name from New Avengers #40 p.18. This isn't a case of comic vs. handbook -- this is two comics, both written by the same guy, contradicting each other. Hoorah! Maybe she's one of those rare Skrulls that has two names, like Karant Kiar? Ma...

Nothing's set in stone yet -- but at this point it looks like I will be, yes.

Heh. Didn't notice you were a new member, tobyoryamcha. Welcome to the boards? Yeah, the Admin has got 99% of the older stuff in ... but recent stuff can have more complicated chronology issues than older stuff, and we recently went through a period where we prioritized some older gaps instea...

Re: why are some entries out of date?
Because we're not machines? I'm sorry, that was rude. Because there are a lot of comics to analyze, and Marvel just keeps making more. Also, some chronological determinations are harder than others. We've got a list going of books that haven't yet been added to the MCP. That means we're aware of the...
