Re: Wolverine: Origins 26-28

For the Current Day stuff, W: O 21-28 all occur in one day, and X-Men: Original Sin #1 is the next day. Daken is shot in the head, and Wolverine is trying to get him to the X-Men before Daken’s healing factor could possibly give him his memories back. There’s nowhere to splice any time jumps in the...

Re: Secret Invasion: Inhumans

Okay, apparently Silent War took place entirely before WWH after all, per SI:I 3. It was realBB in Silent War, and SkrullBB in WWH. [I would say that it adds %&*#s over Annihilation-related stuff with Ronan's words in the issue, and still doesn't make any sense in the context of Silent War, but....

Re: Venom in Spider-Man/Red Sonja

It matters where it places for Spidey because it MUST be placed while (a) he's married to Mary Jane, (b) Mary Jane is a stage actress and (c) before MKSM 1. (b) and (c) leave a very narrow window (one of your attempted placements occurs while MJ is "dead" , and I'm pretty sure the other on...

Re: X-Men Origins, etc.

Haven't we been here before? :) ("Marvel Knights books" [Archive 68]; " Night Raven slip-up " [Thread ended Feb 2008] ) Again, Marvel stressed, the moves of the ongoing series are a redefining of the imprint, which will remain a viable location for projects. Rather than ongoings,...

Re: Oneg possible addition

(Curiously, another panel seems to show Odin creating the Valkyries out of thin air. Has this gotten referenced elsewhere?) Enda, we've been over and over and over this as you well know since you're usually the one that brings it up! There's an oblique reference in DEF 109 that could refer to that ...

Re: Marvel Calendar -- Latest Edition Now Online

Okay, I just found Secret War #1 (while looking for something else, natch) and something leapt out at me. "Mr. President, for a couple of months, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been working on a project codenamed CIRCUIT... It started during one of our routine investigations... S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents did a foll...

Re: October call for analyses

The only unclaimed thing I could do from the list would be GOTG2 1-3... but given that (a) we don't know what the deal is with Vance Astro or Starhawk yet (the "answers" regarding the latter in #5 just raise more questions) and (b) I can't figure out when the smegging debrief logs from #1 ...

Re: X-Men Origins, etc.

Like you say, it's very much case-by-case, and I haven't been buying the X:O one-shots to comment on those. However, Angel: Revelations isn't a Marvel Comics book, but a Marvel Knights book. It's my opinion, based on certain statements made by Quesada and others at the time of the MK relaunch (the o...

Re: Venom in Spider-Man/Red Sonja

As was said in the Spider-Man/Red Sonja 1-5 thread, it must fit between ASM 515 (15) and MKSM 1 for Spidey, which is a tighter placement than for Venom (as Venom doesn't appear between those, while Spider-Man does). It's basically Venom's last appearance before MKSM, after the Venom vs Carnage mini ...

Doctor Strange's status quo

Since a few months have passed, I'm not going to bump the old thread (" New Avengers Annual #2 -- what the #$%^&!? " if anyone wants to see it), but Bendis has now said he's going to follow up on that in post-SI New Avengers : A fan asked about the new status quo for Doctor Strange. Be...

Re: SI: Annihilation of the House of Macaroons [NAv #45 SPOILERS

Here are some troubling things: -The recap page for NA 45 lists both Veranke and "Pym" as sleeper agents. My understanding was that sleeper agents didn't even realize they were skrulls. That doesn't jive with some of their pre-HoM appearances. This has been inconsistent all along - they'v...

Re: SI: Annihilation of the House of Macaroons [NAv #45 SPOILERS

All 3 of them had similar reactions of freaking out, Veranke just pulled it together before "Pym" did. Veranke was never HoM-Jessica in mind. She was one place one minute, and on the HoM Helicarrier the next, and freaked out at the change to the world around her. Whereas "Pym" i...

Re: SI: Annihilation of the House of Macaroons [NAv #45 SPOILERS

If we're not bothering to spoiler-tag then.... there was actually one other thing I hesitated to bring up, but... Veranke woke up immediately after the reality wave/burn to white ended (technically, I suppose, any fake persona Wanda tried to give her just didn't take, unlike "Pym" who had ...
