Re: Captain America #186

I can't be 100% sure, but I think those two were two of many nameless henchmen of Dredmund Druid, who showed up with his goons to bedevil Cap in the following two issues.

Re: Cloak and Dagger origin

Just dug up my copy of C&D 4. Figured I'd put up an analysis of sorts: C&D 4 (5:1-5-7)-FB Pre-origin flash-back, probably within a few months. In Shaker Heights, Ohio, Tandy Bowen is on the phone at her dance class begging her self-absorbed mother to see her perform the lead in Swan Lake. He...

Re: Cloak and Dagger origin

Paul, I was wondering, as someone who has the C&D miniseries from '83... is there any reason the flashbacks from C&D 4 aren't listed in Ty and Tandy's listings pre-PPTSS 64? That was sort of touted as their then-definitive origin story back then; was it rendered apocryphal at some point?

Re: Morgan bts in CA 169

As of his entry in #3 the OHOTMU A-Z Update, Morgan's full name hasn't been revealed. The OHOTMU Appendix site lists the following appearances in addition to his MCP listings, all during Ed Brubaker's "DD in Jail" arc in DD2: DD2 82-FB-BTS DD2 82-FB DD2 83 DD2 85 DD2 86 His only appearance...

Re: Coming from Marvel in May

- AVENGERS, THOR & CAPTAIN AMERICA: OFFICIAL INDEX TO THE MARVEL UNIVERSE #1. Interestingly, the Cap indexes will include both the Golden Age stories (starting from CAPTAIN AMERICA COMICS #1) and the modern volume (starting from CAPTAIN AMERICA #100 - I assume TOS was covered by the previous In...

Re: Defenders in Rom 65 and 66 and Sub-M2 3

I just checked the Bibliography from the OHOTMU's most recent entry for Namor (pretty comprehensive, that) and it has the issues ordered as follows:

[...]
FF 261
SUB-M2 1
SUB-M2 2
SUB-M2 3
SUB-M2 4
AF 12
AF 14
AF 15
AF 16
ROM 65
M/FAN 20
[...]

Re: Defenders in Rom 65 and 66 and Sub-M2 3

Dr. Strange and Peter Parker also appear in Sub-M2 3 watching the same speech by Namor, (as well as the Fantastic Four [Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, & She-Hulk] and the Defenders [Valkyrie, Moondragon, Iceman, Beast, Angel, & Gargoyle]). Interesting that Dr. Strange & Sp...

Re: Origin of Fenris

According to ComicBookDB.com, these were the Strucker twins' appearances prior to their entry in the Deluxe Edition Handbook: UX 194 UX 196 UX 200 Of those three, they only appeared as Fenris (much less even made mention of their superhuman powers) in UX 200. I just flipped through the issue, and (u...

Re: Defenders in Rom 65 and 66 and Sub-M2 3

The only character besides the Defenders to appear both in the Rom issues and SUB-M2 3 was Namor himself. His MCP listing has the Rom issues immediately preceding the SUB-M2 miniseries.

Re: Official Index to the Marvel Universe #1 Errata / Spider-Man

Apologies for the double-post, guys, but I had a chance to re-read the Alias issues in question, and I think I may have found a way to make everything fit *and* legitimize the appearance of Galactus and the Surfer. After looking up-thread (and please, hip me to anything I've overlooked), I'm presum...

Re: Official Index to the Marvel Universe #1 Errata / Spider-Man

Ah, right... the Excedrin headache I'd gotten trying to wrap my head around that's coming back. :-P Doesn't help that Jess' OHOTMU entry lists the Galactus appearance as legit, but that was printed in '04, before this underwent any sort of major scrutiny... Yeah, I know... Upon thinking about this ...

Re: Official Index to the Marvel Universe #1 Errata / Spider-Man

I think it needs to go even further, to butt up against ASM 29, but I'm not sure which goes first. Both the Scorpion and J. Jonah Jameson's chronologies place the flashback there; though Gargan's has ALIAS 23 after ASM 29, and Jameson's has the two issues concurrent but with the order reversed. In ...
