Re: CONAN

Also, as I'm working on a solid Conan chronology at the moment, would you guys say its better to get a rough draft done quickly to share, with lots of mistakes and multiple full rereads likely needed, or take it slower and more in-depth, with less mistakes and probably a better result?

Re: CONAN

So the second issue is out, no qualms there, easily slides into canon after the war with the Picts in Conan's already established chronology. References also a couple of other events in Conan's life that we've seen transpire in Marvel's previous Conan comics as well. I'm pretty optimistic that the c...

I wasn't aware of these, would you care to elaborate?

Re: CONAN

Hopefully that'll be enough time for us to nail down the existing Hyborian chronology! Given that there's something like 500 issues? Probably not  I think you'd be surprised... I've already got a lot of notes on Conan's chronology, and even if I were to only read, analyse and place 5 issues a ...

Re: CONAN

Hopefully that'll be enough time for us to nail down the existing Hyborian chronology! Speaking of which, does anyone have a list of appearances of the Hyborian Age/Hyborian characters outside of the usual Conan/Hyborian related series? For example, the Marvel Team-Up issue with Red Sonja, and the 5...

This is what I meant, he can't have both died on the throne and then subsequently abdicated.

Re: CONAN

I have it, but haven't read it yet. I do see a montage of art from early '70s Marvel Conan in the first few pages, and that it's Legacy numbered as #276, though. Yeah, I was thinking those things allude to it being canon, and what little we've seen of the 2019 Conan's life seems to fit in with his ...

Re: CONAN

So, have any of you guys picked up Conan the Barbarian #1 yet?
Anyone got any opinions on how this effects the canonicity (?) of the old Conan stuff?

I've got a few thoughts of my own, but would be interested in hearing what you guys think before I share.

IIRC they contradict some stuff in the definitely canon stuff.

I was under the impression that this wasn't canon? Especially seeing as the Spider-Man strips aren't, are they?

Re: CONAN

Oh of course, I only used that quote to transition into my mention of SirMuddy's chronology. And I have a good feeling the new stuff will be regarded as "canon", would definitely not be surprised to have some form of crossover. And in my opinion, those clarifications of canon (as I shall r...

Re: CONAN

If there’s anyone alive that knows more about Marvel’s Conan than Roy Thomas, I would have no idea who that would be. I'd guess you've never seen the SirMuddy chronology then. It's based on the Roy Thomas chronology but with all the stuff published later and with the kinks ironed out. Although I've...

Re: CIVIL WAR to SECRET INVASION

WORLD WAR HULK was a crossover, I wonder if it should be CIVIL WAR to WORLD WAR HULK instead of CIVIL WAR to SECRET INVASION? Actually, yeah, I think that should be the case. :yepp: I disagree, World War Hulk was a very small event that did not have any real major ramifications for the rest of the ...

I'd definitely be down for some fine tuning of the post-Civil War stuff, enjoyed the stuff Marvel published between 2007 and 2010 way more than I should have

Re: request for a chronologie

I'm not an admin on the site or anything but to my knowledge. no such chronology exists. I too would be interested in a chronology of this era, myself having most of the comics published during this time, and would be willing to help produce one, but as far as I'm aware, it's pretty much out of the ...
