Re: X-Men First Class placement
To be clear, I am not questioning the declaration that all XFC issues are not canon, I'm just wondering who made that decision and what were the reasons behind it. I believe it was An Editorial Decision rather than an MCP one - somewhere during v2, the hammer came down from above and the Handbook w...

Re: Ultimatum: Spider-Man Requiem #1-2
ULTIMATUM: SPIDER-MAN REQUIEM #2 (September 2009) NOTE: I was confused by the Hulk being green (I’ve only ever seen a grey Ultimate Hulk) so I poked around the internet a bit and APPARENTLY, this flashback is a retelling of Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #2-3. Both this and the Team-Up issues are presente...

The Ultimate Wrecking Crew had a prior appearance in Ultimate Spider-Man #86, where they were working for Damage Control. They appeared again in USM #106.

ULTIMATE POWER #1 (December, 2006) ULTIMATE POWER #7 (October, 2007) NOTE: Next issue confirms that this new Squadron are the originals. When they arrive this issue they say their world has been destroyed, but this is never followed up on. Who knows what they were talking about. The 712 Squadron Su...

Re: VENOM! (and the Symbiotes)
Oh, and Carnage USA called the ripped-back-apart Hybrid symbiotes Lasher (green), Agony (purple/violet), Phage (orange) and Riot (indigo). Yes, annoyingly the writer didn't realise that Wikipedia was listing them under names fans had made up and used them in the comic. It should be noted that, whil...

Re: VENOM! (and the Symbiotes)
Hmn. Carnage USA #2 makes it a point to mention that the four "color" Symbiotes don't act the way they're supposed to after they were split up from the merged Symbiote (Hybrid's suit) (meaning, they were changed by the process of seperation), and when they're introduced, the Symbiotes hav...

Re: CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!
What about the Venom analogy? I never get any answer on that. I think there'd be a case to make for listing the various symbiotes independently of their hosts - obviously there'd be a lot of overlap, but given the Venom symbiote has gone through more than a few hosts and been seen active while host...

Re: CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!
Thanks for the attachment. I would point to the use of the passive voice in that picture "I have been called the uni-power" i.e. that's what others call me, they call me a "power" because I "empower" them. I also disagree with the wording "empowers every Captain U...

Re: CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!
I'm slightly torn. Not on the Uni-Power bit - I was the one who argued for it to be listed as such originally, and see attached Leoparis - but on the "listing EVERYONE who's ever bonded with it as Captain Universe" part AS Captain Universe, particularly after the Captain Universe/(team-up...

Re: CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!
Straight off, the Phalanx Scientist you have down as "CAPTAIN UNIVERSE XXVII" never used the name, for instance. Neither did the Hulk in Captain Universe/Hulk. I'd imagine that since the Hulk has his own listing and was only very briefly empowered by the Uni-Power, though he is valid for ...

Re: CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!
There aren't 30 Captain Universes, only one inhabiting different people. Let's go to the Handbooks. Stuart? I concur with Jeph and Col. Fury - there's one Uni-Power, which is sentient so needs its own listing. If the Uni-Power was taking over the hosts' bodies and controlling them, then there might...

Re: Recent article about the Sliding Timescale
But what about Haller herself - like Magneto, she's a Holocaust survivor, ja? And she was just used and killed off in X-Men Legacy as the Israeli Ambassador to the UK. What age was SHE when she had Legion? It may be easier, rather than constantly making these characters retroactively older, to pull...

Re: Recent article about the Sliding Timescale
I have a suspicion that Xavier is a Gulf War veteran now, not Vietnam. I'm not so sure - they kept him in Korea for a LONG time after characters like Iron Man had been moved on from Vietnam - it was just before HoM when they placed Xavier in Vietnam. I'll admit I'm going more from general suppositi...
