Re: Concerning the new Official Index

I'm surprised that nobody answered this-- I guess everyone is off grinding away at the next issue! Don, are you aware that there was already a new Index mini that just finished up a few months ago? It covered Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men and Iron Man. I suspect the new iteration is a mini as we...

Re: Magneto's trial in MARVELS: EYE OF THE CAMERA #5

I don't have Eye of the Camera #5, but the trial you mention that was interrupted in X-Men #200 was resumed in X-Men vs. Avengers #4 (July 1987)

Re: Uncanny X-Men Annual #2

I apologize if I read through this thread too fast and missed a mention, but the fact that Stark is openly drunk in this story seems like a pretty big clue that he appears prior to Iron Man #128 (Nov 1979), after which he's on the wagon. True, he had another drunk period in the 80's but he was a poo...

Re: Was Baron Strucker in X-Men Alpha Flight an LMD?

Michael: Surely you are asking the wrong question in the wrong place. To find out why the guys at the Appendix wrote that, probably you should shoot them an email and ask what they base it on. If they can point out a canonical place where this information was revealed, then the theory of Strucker-as...

Re: Can anyone tell me what happened in the following,

spider-woman #11 Nope. Spider-Woman is fighting in a dreamplane against a kid who imagines a villain that's a combo of Rhino, Venom, and Doc Ock. No real Venom. hulk #4 (1999) Don't see him code of honour #4 Okay, Venom does appear in one panel of this, as part of a montage page. It's just a generi...

Re: CLAN DESTINE questions,

Actually, it's in a dream sequence; Rory falls asleep in class and dreams that he and his sister save Spider-Man from a horde of villains. Venom's part of the dream-team, he doesn't make a "real" appearence in the comic. (v2 #1)

Re: Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird first appearance

Although her hair is brown in the issue, I'm fairly certain the girl who ends up on the doorstep of the Plunder estate is Bobbi. The scene takes place in England, but you may be jumping to conclusions by calling her an Englishwoman.

Re: Celestials (group) chronological appearances?

I once compiled a full chronology of the mainstay Avengers (not all 80 of them, mind you, but the all the top guys you would associate with the team) by simply cut and pasting the individual chronologies and "shuffling" them together so they were one linear chronology. It was a crude and t...

Re: Spider-Man:Parallel Lives

I know I did the original analysis for this book, but I don't seem to have my notes anymore. Anyone know if it's in the forum archives somewhere?

Re: Where to Start? (Avengers, Doom, Galactus)

Craig: I recommend that you pick up the Avengers DVD ROM if it is still in print. Personally, my preferred method of reading comics is not on a computer screen, but really the convenience and price (40+ years worth of comics for under 50 bucks) can't be beat. It's an instant Avengers collection and ...
