Re: Human Torch in early Marvel Team-Up

I dug up my old copies of "The Official Index to Marvel Team-Up" by George Olshevsky, published in 1986. He lists Marvel Team-Up appearances as follows: M/TU 1 appearances: Spider-Man between Asm 94-95 (current project lists the appearances in M/TU 1-2 as occurring between ASM 99-100); Hum...

Human Torch in early Marvel Team-Up

I was reviewing Marvel Team-Up # 1-3 (1972/03-07) and had a question about the Human Torch. He is currently listed as appearing as follows, between FF 104-126: FF 104 (20:4) X:HY 22 (11:4 - 20:3) * M/TU 1 FF 105-116 * M/TU 2 SUB-M 44-46 FF 117-125 SGTF 100 * M/TU 3 H2 152 H2 153 FF 126 Spider-Man is...

Re: Death & Eon in Captain Marvel

I am moderately confident that these are the first appearances for these characters, since Starlin created Thanos in IM 55, who then appeared in the extended storyline in CM 25-33, and Death did not appear in IM 55 or CM 25, but is first seen in CM 26 (pg. 15-18), unnamed. She is first referred to a...

Death & Eon in Captain Marvel

I was re-reading Captain Marvel Masterworks v.3 and I was curious as to whether CM 26 featured Death's first appearance, so I took a quick look at the current chronology project. The current project omits CM 26 for Death, and instead lists CM 27 as Death's first appearance. However, the hooded figur...

Re: Hulk ("Mr. Fixit") in M/CP 26/4

I know this is a very minor point; it only occurred to me because I'm a major Hulk fan and have read the Peter David run many times.

Re: Fantastic Four Annual #24 (1991)

Thanks to both midnighter and Don for the info. I like the explanation. It never made sense to me that Galactus would keep a weapon that he couldn't use without destroying himself in the process.

Re: Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine

So does this mean that the entries of these monsters (Diablo, Taboo, Groot, Goom and Blip) should be modified and H@ 5 moved to new entries for "Diablo Clone (or whatever)" etc. for each of the monsters?

Re: Fantastic Four Annual #24 (1991)

Now that sounds like a cool storyline! I really liked the original Korvac saga (A 167-168, 170-177), so I should probably pick up these back issues (or wait for a collected edition, maybe). One question, though. In What If # 32 ("What if the Avengers had become pawns of Korvac?"), the use ...

Hulk ("Mr. Fixit") in M/CP 26/4

I was just reading the "Atlantis Attacks" Omnibus and I had a question about Hulk. He appears in M/CP 26/4 as "Mr. Fixit" on a collection errand for Berengetti. The chron project currently states the following: Hulk .. H2 356 H2 357 H2 358 H2 359 M/CP 26/4 H2 360 ... This is also...

Re: Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine

In H@ 5, was Hulk fighting the actual monsters (Diablo, Taboo, Groot, Goom, Blip) or copies thereof? I can't remember. They are listed as the actual monsters in the current project.

Re: Inhuman appearances in FF # 117 and I:US 1

Coincidentally, I noticed that Amazon has announced the release of a Tpb, "Inhumans: Right of Birth" in November 2013, that reprints "The Untold Saga" along with an Ann Nocenti graphic novel (I believe this will be the first time the former has ever been reprinted?) Not sure if I...

Re: My new Timeline Chronology Project

Nice site! I haven't read many of those issues (in 1974, anyway, the first page that comes up) so it's fascinating to see a series of 'snapshots' of the state of the Marvel Universe at any given time.

Re: Inhuman appearances in FF # 117 and I:US 1

I just realized that I've been mistakenly referring to the book as "Inhumans: the Untold Story", whereas the actual title is "Inhumans The Untold Saga" on the front cover (although I guess the abbreviation "I:US 1" would apply to either). On the first page indicia, the ...

Re: Inhuman appearances in FF # 117 and I:US 1

One other very minor point-- I was reviewing the old FF issues, and Lockjaw is not seen in FF # 48; he is last seen (as far as I can tell) in FF # 47, pg. 11, shortly after teleporting the Royal Family to the Great Refuge in the Himalayas. He might be lurking around somewhere (undepicted) in # 48, a...

Re: Inhuman appearances in FF # 117 and I:US 1

So I would suggest the following (assuming I haven't made a mistake somewhere): BLACK BOLT/BLACKANTOR BOLTAGON [INHUMAN] T 148/2 T 149/2 A 95-FB T 152/2 WI? 29/2 WI? 30/2 * I:US 1 (2-30)-FB {FF 45} FF 46 FF 47 FF 48 * I:US 1 (32-38)-FB FF 50 CRYSTAL/CRYSTAL AMAQUELIN [INHUMAN] T 149/2 WI? 30/2 * I:U...
