Notes: The story in this single issue interweaves through three issues of Civil War II. Worse, it is also split into three sections.

The first section (14 story pages) covers the Guardians’ actions from the previous issue until they reveal themselves as being on Captain Marvel’s side. Pages 11-14 of this issue are variations of pages 21-24 from Civil War II #4.

Then there’s the “14 MINUTES LATER” gap between pages 14 and 15. Events from pages 1-14 of Civil War II #5 take place within this gap.

Page 15 of GOTG #12 depicts the Guardians’ ship exploding in mid-air as the Vision fires an energy beam through it and Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora reacting in silent shock.

Immediately following that scene there’s the “36 MINUTES LATER” gap between pages 15 and 16. Events from pages 15-23 of Civil War II #5 and pages 1-13 of Civil War II #6 take place within this gap, beginning with the Guardians’ ship exploding and Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon reacting verbally.

Following this second gap, pages 16-18 of GOTG #12 and pages 14-15 of Civil War II #6 are closely interwoven, first with the Guardians’ burning ship exploding again and then Quill having a talk with Carol.

Then there are the final two pages of GOTG #12, where Gamora learns that Thanos is a captive in the Triskelion.

I'll leave it to anyone who wants to do an Issue Analysis to figure out the exact sequence of pages and/or panels that make the most sense.
