Marvel Chronology Project

This is clearly taking place immediately after Spider-Man and Gargoyle go through the window in Defenders #109. I'm not sure why the chronology for Gargoyle places it after the Avengers annual.

The problem is basically this- Professor Power appears in Marvel Team-Up 117-118 and refers to the events of Defenders 106-109 as taking place "weeks ago". (The weeks reference is topical but the point is that Power has had enough time to set up an alternate scheme involving Mentallo and Xavier instead of Nighthawk's ex.) Marvel Team-Up 119 takes place directly after Defenders 109. So there's really no good way to make this work, other than assuming that Gargoyle and Peter were interrupted after Defenders 109 and decided to take a tour of the city later or that Marvel Team-Up 119 takes place before Marvel Team-Up 117-118. And the weird thing is all these issues were written by J.M. DeMatteis around the same time.

This seems to refer to the stories in Def 103, CA 256, and Def 106. 107 seems to have some time elapse over the course of the issue. 108 and 109 are about getting Valkyrie's body out of hell after Barbara Norris's dies from a shot in the back, and I can't fathom why Professor Power would know about anything beyond the shooting. The lettcol of either 106 or the Cap issue mentions the relationship with the stories in MTU 117-118.

Not really. Def 107 seems to take place over several days and allow for it.

So you're suggesting placing a gap in DEF 107, between Valkyrie's "death" and funeral?

Just looking at Captain America's chronology, that would mean at least all of these comics happen after Valkyrie's "death"

DAZZ 21 (after M/TU 119 for Spider-Man) (DEF 107's end continues into 108-109, which have to happen before M/TU 117-119)

and before her funeral, where Hellcat chats with Valkyrie's ghost (she's not really dead).

Unfortunately, Valkyrie appears just fine in A@ 11, so putting the gap during DEF 107's not the solution.

And of course, moving M/TU 117-119 back's not an option either, as discussed in the topics I linked to (for various reasons, including Spider-Man's various books and the X-Men).
