I suspect I may be opening (re-opening?) a can of worms here, but is there a reason that isn't there an entry for Melf, the Elf with a Gun? (Or his nephew Relf, or the various other elves-with-guns?)

Melf appears in Defenders #25, 31, 38, 40 and 46, for starters...
