We're currently encountering a flurry of new registrations by spammers. This happens every few months, and if our experience holds, these will dry up after a couple of weeks.
For the time being, we've instituted a "New User" group. New registrations are automatically placed in this New User group, and your posts are moderated. Once a post has been approved by a moderator, you will be moved into the regular user group.
We apologize for the delay in presenting your first jewel of wisdom to our members, but it's necessary, to protect the forum from turning into a trash bin. Your first post will be approved within 12 hours.
If we can go for a couple of weeks without spam or obviously bogus registrations, then we can go back to giving New Users immediate access. Thanks for your understanding.
