Age of the Sentry #1

Does anyone have any ideas about the placement of the stories in AGE OF THE SENTRY #1?

It seems that the first story in this book occurs before the flashback in NEW AVENGERS #10 in which Bob Reynolds has his third date with Lindy Lee. The flashback in the first story is to Sentry's origin.

In the second story, the Mad Thinker and the Tinkerer team up against the Sentry. The Thinker is noted as "Jose Santini," an alias he adopted when he kidnapped the real Santini in FF 68-70. It would make sense that this story occurs sometime after that, and after the Thinker's subsequent stay in jail that lasted at least through FF 79.

Other thoughts?

Would anyone know when does Sentry give up his identity so that they can contain Void?

In AOS 1, Sentry makes a reference to disposing of Gorax's brain in the Negative Zone (despite the fact that when he said it, Sentry still had the brain in his hand...), so this would place it after the first appearance of the Zone in FF 51. It would also occur sometime after he first faced Void.

There were 2 flashbacks in the AOS 1. The second one involves the origin of Sentry, during which time he is described as a "student". The OHOTMU said he was active "years" before the FF, so I would place this at least a few years before FF 1.

The first flashback shows a montage of encounters during his career, including clashes with Men-Bot and Cranio (and Cranio has a second appearance BTS in the main story itself) and his first clash with Void. Sentry is also shown in a fiddling contest with the devil (Mephisto perhaps?).

The Professor, whose serum gives him his powers, has his name revealed in this issue.

The Lethio-Ray that they use to erase Lindy's memory seems to possibly the same technology used to later remove the world's memory of Sentry altogether.

It's (possibly deliberately) contradictory. The trade dress on the fake cover in question is late 80s/early 90s though.

AOS 1 names the Professor as being named Professor Cornelius who, considering the formula's ties to Weapon X, may or may not be the same Professor Cornelius responsible for numerous Weapon X creations.

Another thing I have noticed is the love of Sentry's life is named Lindy Lee. This seems to parallel Sentry's obvious inspiration Superman, who tends to have people in his life with the initials "LL". Linda Lee (aka Supergirl), Lois Lane, Lana Lang, Lex Luthor, Lionel Luthor, Lightning Lad, Lena Luthor, Letitia Lerner, Lori Lemaris, Lucy Lane, Lara Lor-Van.

And I am not even gonna mention the Watchdog/Krypto the Superdog parallel!!

Actually, the plot point introducing Sentry resembles that of another DC character Triumph, another "forgotten" adventurer.
