Marvel Chronology Project

I've run into a little problem in the MCP involving these two stories. Doom's current listing looks like this:

ST 164/2-BTS
ST 165-BTS

Now, Nick Fury and Captain America both appear in A@ 1 shortly after this robo-Yellow Claw arc in ST. However, a problem arises when looking at Thor's chronology in this area:

So, going by the listings for Thor, Fury, and Cap, one would believe that FF 73 (and the related DD issues preceding) take place after ST 161-167, but Doom's chronology says the opposite. Thoughts?

How is Doom BTS in FF 73?

Meaning, could Doom have put something into motion sometime before ST 161 but the effects weren't felt until sometime after ST 167? If that's the case, then the listings would be right, even if they look wrong.

Or, is Doom doing something during the timeframe of FF 73 but not seen? If that's the case, then Doom's listing could be wrong. Or, everyone else's listings could be wrong and Doom's is right.

Anyone have FF 73 handy to check?

My memory is that it would be a rather tenuous behind-the-scenes appearance.

I will point out, though, that FF 73 takes places immediately after the Daredevil appearances, so if Doom's chronology is wrong, the DD stories will have to be moved, too.

In DD 38 Doom tricks the FF into believing that he (Doom) is about to attack them in the form of Daredevil. Most of FF 73 is the fight between Daredevil and the deceived FF.

TV news, according to Sue, said that Doom was in Latveria, addressing a conference of ministers.

That would do it. And again, if we move FF 73, we must move DD too.

According to my notes from this period, DD 36-38 and FF 173 need to move down on Doom's chronology to follow ST 167.
