Hmm. I need to generate a complete list of all the times that Thor has fought Hercules.

I'm not even sure how to begin -- could you guys help me out?

Well, here's a quick, machine-generated list of all the issues that the MCP has both Thor and Herc in (duplicate entries and BTSes have been screened out, but that is it. I've made no manual checks, and make no warranty against errors ). Of course, this doesn't mean they fought in all of these - it doesn't even mean they were on-panel together in all of these! - but it should get you started.

Nah - playing around in Excel and Notepad involving a number of search-and-replaces, sorts, and an IF statement (replace -BTS with (tab)-BTS in Notepad, paste into Excel, sort by -BTS/not and eliminate. Similar process to get rid of the page ranges, then the IF to get rid of the duplicates. Repeat for Herc, then mix the two together and the same one more time, only keeping the duplicates. Not completely automated, but it only took a couple of minutes).

The only other time I can think of is Avengers #349, wich has Hercules fight a mind-controlled Eric Masterson.

Nice to see someone else doing spreadsheet work with the MCP listings. I have the listings in an OpenOffice sheet for the purposes of working on my timeline project/thingie.

I kinda wondered since you were counting Eric Masterson's receiving the Lion of Olympus' "gift," but in hindsight, Eric Masterson's one thing. Clor/Ragnarok's something else entirely.
