Newbie with question.

Post by phacelessman »

I have had the chronology project bookmarked on my computer for many year (5 at least, I think more). As a huge Captain America fan, I used it to clue me into many issues that Cap was in that I was unaware of. Chronology really didn't mean that much to me. I just wanted to read EVERY Cap appearance.

I notice that not much has been done with Cap since "Disassembled" occurred so I am going to try to help, even tho about a quarter of the worlds population is more knowledgeable than me. So now, on to my question.

1) I have found an error in the Jack of Hearts chronology. He is listed as appearing in Alias 28 after his death in A3 76. What is the proper way to submit errors on the project.

2) Does anyone have a complete and correct list of characters appearing in the final frame of A 501? Maybe I'm starting at a bad place.

3) Is there a list of all the Skrull imposters with issue of the replacement?

Answers for 2 and 3 would be a great help.

Thanks

Kelly

This is the way.

Thanks, phacelessman.

I'll give it my best...

Sersi, Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Spider-Woman (Veranke, masquerading as Jessica Drew), Living Lightning, Thing, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Nick Fury, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers), Hercules, Crystal, Hellcat, Quasar (Wendell Vaughn), Pulsar, Firestar, Justice, Rage, Stingray, Black Panther (T'Challa), Namor, Jocasta, Firebird, Black Knight (Dane Whitman), Darkhawk, Falcon, Mantis, Triathlon, Daredevil, Captain America (Steve Rogers), Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Wonder Man, Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Firebird, Silverclaw, Luke Cage, Demolition Man, and Tigra. Plus the two nameless military troops.

There are a couple of characters I can't readily identify...

--The male character in the blue cowl seen behind Hellcat's left shoulder and Quasar's head
--The male character with the close-cropped hair between Firestar and Rage
--The male character whose face is partially obscured by Black Knight's head
--The character (I think female?) whose face is partially obscured by Triathlon's head.

I'm fairly certain GSSW 1 placed the events leading to her replacement *after* Disassembled.

[Plus, the appearance of JD there is actually an art error - Finch was *meant* to draw Julia Carpenter, but apparently got a bad reference.]

Oh, and Avengers Finale claimed that the real Quicksilver wasn't there either.

Heh, the second I hit send on that post I immediately thought, wait, what's Jess doing in the Spider-Woman gear when she didn't take it back up till A4 4?

Any thoughts on the four I couldn't make out?

My guess would be Swordsman.

Tom Brevoort once listed all the characters in the end of AVENGERS #501. Apparently that thread at Comixfan has been long deleted, but I listed the following appearances in my summary. Do these make sense? I don't have the time to double-check these at the moment and I can't remember if my list and Brevoort's list were 100% similar, because sometimes things change when they go through all the editors, writers and artists.

Edit: I went through the picture. The ones hard to identify are now explained.

Black Knight IV
Black Panther I
Black Widow II (behind Triathlon)
Captain America I
Captain Britain III (not in the group shot)
Crystal (behind Hercules)
Darkhawk
D-Man (behind Rage and Stingray)
Falcon II
Firebird
Firestar
Jim Hammond (behind Firestar and Rage)
Hawkeye I
Hellcat
Hercules
Invisible Woman
Iron Man I (not in the group shot)
Jocasta
Justice II
Living Lightning
Mantis
Mister Fantastic
Moon Knight
Namor
Photon III (Monica Rambeau)
Quasar III
Rage
Jim Rhodes (behind Wonder Man - not to be confused as Luke Cage)
Sersi
She-Hulk (not in the group shot)
Silverclaw
Spider-Man I
Starfox (behind Black Knight)
Stingray
Thing
Tigra
Triathlon
USAgent (behind Hellcat)
Vision II (dead body only, not in the group shot)
Warbird
Wasp (not in the group shot)
Wonder Man
X-51 (behind Firestar, hard to spot)
Yellowjacket I (not in the group shot)
Special Agent Maher (not in the group shot)
Daredevil
Nick Fury
Human Torch II
Spider-Woman I
Ultron robots (destroyed ones only, not in the group shot)

I guess this took place during Moondragon's most recent "dead" period? How odd, other dead characters got a mention in that list...

Not all past members were present. I don't think anyone appearing there were supposed to be dead at the time. For example the Torch (Jim Hammond) died later.
