Captain America: Patriot #4 shows Thaddeus Ross as a boy.

And Hulk #24 had a flashback to Ross crashing in some old-time airplane.

And a very young Thad Ross is visiting his aunt Betty Ross at the end of Captain America: Patriot #4.

Leoparis wote:
Hulk #24 had a flashback to Ross crashing in some old-time airplane.
I didn't catch that. What page is that on?

Hulk #23 page 1, the page by Herb Trimpe. He is said to be sixteen. The issue's story is interspersed with flashbacks after Hulk #1 (1963).

Ah, I was looking at the wrong Hulk #23. I don't have the one you're referring to. Would anyone care to place both this flashback and the one in CA:Patriot 4 in the chronology above?

It would be easier if there was a description of what the flashbacks stand for. This is a consistent problem with flashbacks that one needs the issues to check them panel by panel.
IN CA:P 4 he's about 9 but could be anything from 7 to 14
In Hulk #23 (that's the one from 2010) he's 16

We have more flashbacks to Thunderbolt Ross's early days in HULK #40-41. Would anyone with these issues care to propose placement for these flashbacks? Most are set prior to H 1, but one occurs during H 1 and a couple of others occur afterward.

To start, here are post-FF 1 scenes:

H4 41 (12:1-12:2)-FB
Thunderbolt and Betty Ross watch the gamma explosion from a bunker.
This occurs between 4:6 and 4:7 of H1.

H4 41 (12:3)-FB
Reginald Fortean reports to the unseen (bts or op) Thunderbolt Ross that "ground patrol say they've sighted the creature [Hulk], general."
Sometime in the Hulk's early days, but where?

H4 41 (1)-FB
Carrying Betty Ross, Hulk leaps away from Thunderbolt Ross as Army vehicles explode in the background. Hulk: "Just want to be left alone." T. Ross: "I'll never stop coming for you. There's nowhere you can run."
New content? If so, where does it go?

H4 41 (2:1)-FB
Betty: "Why won't you just leave him alone? Bruce and I love each other!" T. Ross: "Betrty, he's a monster!!" Bruce Banner: "General Ross, please..."
New content? If so, where does it go?
