When does the X-Men vs Brotherhood of (Evil) Mutants/Sentinels/Evolutionaries flashback take place?

BOEM was disbanded by the time the Sentinels showed up and all the X folk act like they've never seen one before when they appear.

Jest wonderin...

Between the time Iceman turns icy in UX 8 and Pietro and Wanda leave Magneto in UX 11. Still determining whether these new FBs occur before or after the twins' attempt to leave Magneto in ST 128.

There's one complicating factor in all of this- Emma is in a mental institution while this story takes place. We're going to have to do a detailed look at Emma's chronology to see how this all fits in with the Emma Frost series and Generation X -1. The writers finally seem to have noticed that the mental institution flashback in Generation X and the Emma Frost series don't fit together nicely and the Evolutionaries having tampered with everyone's memories is the explanation.

As the flashbacks continue through this week's issue #14, I'm inclined to place Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch here before ST 128, and the X-Men here between UX 8-9. Note now that we see Wolverine (in his original costume), Ororo (in Africa), Mr. Sinister, Sebastian Shaw, Mystique, and Namor.

Bump. So, Wolverine appears in X-Men #14 fb, circa UX #8? When does that take place in relation to Wolvie's appearance in the Fury one-shot?

Right now, I have his Silver Age chronology as:

WOLVERINE/CABLE - occurs before ASM #2 (Vulture hasn't debuted yet)
FURY - occurs ???
ALPHA FLIGHT #52 fb - occurs some time after Avengers #1 (Mac knows about Avengers)
ALPHA FLIGHT SPECIAL - occurs some time after X-Men #23 (some villains appear last there, then in this 1-shot)

So -- depending on whether the Fury one-shot offers any ties to other MU events, the fb in X-Men #14 could occur anywhere between W/C and AF Spec...

Logan appears in the same portion of FURY 1-FB as Tony Stark does. Stark is here between TOS 40-41, sometime before A 1, so that X-Men #14 FB will have to occur after the Fury FB. Thus, the X-Men #14 FB is either just before or just after AF 52-FB in Logan's chronology. I don't know that there are any clues to help us decide which is right. I'd go with putting the X-Men #14 FB before AF 52-FB, whioch occurs "months" after Logan joined Dept. H.

Thanks, Paul!

Logan joined Dept. H around the same time as FF #1, though. So the "months" reference doesn't help either way.

In AFlt #52 fb, James Hudson is feeling pressure from Dept. H to recruit superhumans to match America's Avengers. He's had so little luck that he resorts to mutating a murderer. However, by the time of AFlt Spec, which occurs sometime after UX #23, James has successfully recruited a whole team of superhumans.

It seems to me that we'd do well to put a lot of room between those two events. Maybe AFlt #52 fb should come before X #14 fb -- which would place AFlt #52 fb before UX #8...

According to OHOTMU: Wolverine, Logan joined Department H 3 years before the FF formed. I am not sure of the direct source of this info, but some info may be found here:
http://www.reocities.com/ratmmjess/byrd.html

Three years into Hudson's directorship of Department H, over two years after Logan was found by the Hudsons, the Fantastic Four, the first verified public team of super-heroes in several years, debuts to worldwide acclaim. Inspired by this, Hudson elects to orient Department H toward the formation of a government-sponsored Canadian super-team that will operate in the public eye; Logan is Hudson's first recruit, and Hudson in fact nominates him for the eventual leadership of this team, which, in its early stages of development, is known as "the Flight." In preparation for his career as a publicly-known super-hero, Logan is outfitted with a distinctive yellow-and-blue costume.
(Initial planning of Alpha Flight from Alpha Flight (second story) #3. Logan as Hudson's first recruit from Alpha Flight #52 and other sources.)
