Ghost Rider in Rawhide Kid v4 #1

In Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears #1-6, a western era Ghost Rider (not to be confused with the western Phantom Rider, also called Ghost Rider) named Caleb is introduced as active during 1863-1867. Another western era Ghost Rider was depicted in Rawhide Kid v4 #1, who briefly acted as the sheriff of Tombstone (circa 1881 based upon references to the Gunfight at the OK Corral and appearances of numerous western characters). Are both Ghost Riders one and the same or separate characters? If the same, I suggest this chronology:

Feasible they could be the same, though I doubt that was the intent.
