Where is the break in UX 516.

UX 515-517 appear to happen over the course of one day

Dr. Takiguchi dies and Psylocke interupts a meeting to let the head council know (UX 515)
Cyclops heads to San Francisco (UX 515)

Their can be a small break here

Cyclops returns from San Francisco during the funeral and Magneto shows up. (UX 515)

UX 516-517 is one continuous story

UX 518 takes place the following day.

Over in the DOCTOR DOOM thread:
Paul Bourcier wrote:The Void sliver is still in Emma's head in X-NECROSHA #1 and thus throughout the crossover, in which she's always seen in her diamond form to contain the sliver. The Void sliver is removed in UX 518-519. Magneto's present on Utopia during Necrosha, so that means Necrosha needs to occur after UX 516, or at least the bulk of it (through 18:4). The end of UX 516 leads right into UX 517, and it is there that the Cuckoos go into their coma.

So how about a gap between 18:4 and 18:5 of UX 516? This would require a postponement of Scalphunter's attack on Utopia, but is that plausible?
JephYork wrote:Is the Void sliver consistently shown in her head throughout the entire thing? I asked upthread, curious to see if the Void thing was an error or not. You said she's always seen in diamond form, so at least we don't have a blatant inconsistency there.

I think you and I are looking at the same spot for a gap -- after Magneto's arrival, but before the Predator X's attack. I had accidentally called this "UX #515" earlier, but I see now that it's #516. (Sorry; I'm swamped with other stuff right now and doing this all from memory.) I'd prefer to punch a gap here rather than assume that the Cuckoos recovered off-panel and then were knocked out again...

Assuming that we take the Void sliver clue at face value, it looks like we may have identified the likeliest spot for Necrosha. (And by extension, X-Men Legacy #228-230 & Annual, and X-Force v3 #12-20, which all occur between Utopia and Necrosha.)
That's why in Dr. Doom's chronology we have Necrosha:

O.k, just to get the ball rolling. I like that break.

So we have

UX 515
UX 516 (1-18:4)-Magneto joins

a gap to put stuff in with Emma/w the Void

UX 516 (18:5-23)
UX 517-Stepford Cuckoos unconscious,

UX 518-the Next Day, Namor is BTS
UX 519-Beast leaves, X-Force off somewhere

a break

UX 520
UX 521
UX 522-Stepford Cuckoos awake and in action, Kitty returns

Just to start out can anyone let me know all the issues that Emma appears with the void.
I know we have all of Necrosha, Nation X: X-Factor. This will help us flesh out Namor.

Also, looking at the description from the other thread, I looked through the Legacy issues and Annual and don't see why they need to be put into this gap. They easily fit prior to UX 515. Am I missing something?

Along with the X-Men Legacy arc we can also place Dark Reign:The List X-Men #1 before UX 515. Emma has the Void, no Magneto. Island under the early stages of set-up, no pillar mentioned.

X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas should also come before UX 515, Its before Magneto and the pillar. I'll adjust above.

Nation X: X-Factor needs to be in the gap with both Emma w/Void and Magneto. Layla would appear here with no explanation, except between X-Factor v3 #50 and X-Factor v1 #200 (there is just no working around it) and then disappears again. I would suggest before Necrosha, since it's about people coming to Utopia.

Also Onyxx is alive so definitely before Necrosha.

The Torch issues 3-5, should take place before Utopia, closer to Osborn's public announcing of the Dark Avengers which is announced in Torch 1

Some of these placements were taken from the Index.

The Uncanny Index says that all of the relevant X-characters' next appearance after EXODUS is UX 515. The Cap Index says that DRL: X 1 happens after CA: REBORN for Namor. So we have:

EXODUS -> UX 515 and CA: REBORN -> DRL: X 1

If the Legacy issues have to happen after EXODUS, then they also have to happen after UX 515 and the first part of UX 516 (according to the Index).
Jason Doty wrote:X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas should also come before UX 515, Its before Magneto and the pillar.
Isn't this where the X-Men are teleporting their stuff from Greymalkin Industries to Utopia Island? If so, then it's after EXODUS, and if it's after EXODUS, then according to the Uncanny Index it's also after UX 515 (and by extension part of UX 516). If Magneto and the pillar aren't mentioned, then, well, they just aren't mentioned.

Oh, this takes place before XF 200? Why did I think it took place between XF 200-201? If NATX: XF 1 happens before Necrosha, then before XF 200 would probably work better as well.

TORCH can't take place that early; TORCH has to happen at least after CA5 48. I have TORCH happening after UTOPIA for the Fantastic Four, but of course I didn't write down WHY I have it after UTOPIA. Something to do with their uniforms, maybe?

These issues are part of the Five Lights, which should happen fairly recent after Second Coming arc, where the Five Lights pop up on Cerebro. So before Curse of the Mutants/Wolverine Goes to Hell. I haven't read Invaders Now, so I don't have a clue.
Col_Fury wrote:New Mutants v3 #20-21 (February – March 2011)
-How close to Age of X does this happen?
Not close. New Mutants 20-21 are called Rise of the New Mutants, and happen right after #15-19 which is called Fall of the New Mutants. This is one story with the New Mutants travelling to Limbo and meeting/fighting the Inferno "babys". There is no space between the issues and it's not likely that one of the New Mutants has an adventure elsewhere. If I can remember it's Warlock who gets the X-Men in to fight, but then all access to Limbo is gone or something. A bunch of X-Men appear in #20-21. I've got the whole arc as the first arc happening after Second Coming. Also before Five Lights (see topic above). This because Cannonball appears searching for one of the Lights (Uncanny X-Men #529). There were also other practicalities to place this arc first.
Col_Fury wrote:Uncanny X-Men #531 (February 2011)

Yes this is also before Curse of the Mutants/Wolverine Goes to Hell. It's part of the Quarantine arc. And happens after Five Lights.
Col_Fury wrote:X-Men: Prelude to Schism #1-4 (July – August 2011)

Yup indeed. The only place I could think of is right after Schism #1. There's a gap. At the end of Schism #1 the X-Men think and talk about what to do at the Sentinels popping up and in #2 X-Men fight all over the world. Can't think of another place in time where those X-Men are together to talk about a threat. Some fans think they talk about a threat we haven't seen (yet); if you go that route it's placeable somewhere else. We have discussed this in the Utopia-Regenesis thread. As well as some of the others above. :)

The above results in the following:
X: SECC 2 (Second Coming)
NM3 20
NM3 21
UXM 527
UXM 528
UXM 531
.....
SCHISM 1
PRSCHISM 1-4
.....

I'm looking at the issues one by one from your list.

An artificial gap is needed to accommodate a certain situation (Emma Frost w/void and Magneto as a member) why would we cram stories that don't need to be in that gap there?

I also looked at the index's you are correct in what you say, so by that logic we are trapped in by the index, unless we can prove it's wrong, which really sucks. because that is going to be a really convoluted time period, that does not need or have to be with all that has to be there. I'll re-adjust
TORCH can't take place that early; TORCH has to happen at least after CA5 48. I have TORCH happening after UTOPIA for the Fantastic Four, but of course I didn't write down WHY I have it after UTOPIA. Something to do with their uniforms, maybe?
Right before Toro is abducted the Dark Avengers make their public debut, It's whats on TV, while there could be a passage of time, I highly doubt its the majority of "Dark Reign." Namor is wearing his Savage Sub-Mariner outfit and wandering the seas with his displaced Atlanteans.

I've been trying to flesh out the X-Men appearances to help with Namor between Exodus and Second Coming, using the benchmarks from the index that can't be moved. Can anyone add anything to this or point out any errors so we can close down this era?

I've had a chance to flip through New Mutants v3 #21-25.

NM3 13-14 are part of the Second Coming crossover. NM3 15-21 are one arc. NM3 22-24 are part of the Age of X crossover. NM3 25 starts a new story.

NM3 21 ends with Canonball in the infirmary. NM3 25 starts with Cannonball still in the infirmary. Age of X was a localized reality warp caused by Legion. Everyone involved in Age of X ended the way they started (meaning, it's fine for Cannonball to appear in Age of X while still in the infirmary).

So, we have for Cannonball NM3 15-21 -> Age of X -> NM3 25. Canonball can't make any appearances outside the infirmary during this time. Which means Cannonball can't appear in UX 529 between NM3 21 & NM3 25.

Translating all of this to Namor means:

UX 527 (shortly after Second Coming)
UX 528 (Cannonball is fine)
UX 531
NM3 20
NM3 21 (Cannonball is injured)
NM3 24 (Age of X reality warp)
NM3 25 (Cannonball is still injured)

Right?

NM3 25 also shows Cyclops reprimanding Magik for her actions during NM3 15-21. So how long after NM3 21 should NM3 25 happen? And should NM3 25 (and whatever NM3 issues that need to follow) happen before Curse of the Mutants? NM3 25 was published five months after Curse of the Mutants ends. Does Cannonball appear anywhere during Curse of the Mutants? Should Age of X (and by extension NM3 15-21) happen before or after Curse of the Mutants? Age of X starts two months after Curse of the Mutants ends (publication-wise).

What issue does Namor set up Atlantis under Utopia?

UX 518-519 Magneto comes up with the idea while Cyclops is busy with the Void situation. By UX 520 the pillar construction work is well underway and Atlanteans are starting to come.

Right?

Sorry, still don't agree. I've given this much thought. Technically Cannonball is injured (but so are the rest of the New Mutants), but not in the infirmary at the end of #21.
It all has to do in what order the arcs have to happen after Second Coming. My idea and reasons for that are:

Rise and Fall of the New Mutants
NM3 #15 happens right after Second Coming. X-Men are seen rebuilding Utopia. Cannonball looks through a big hole in the wall, when Cyclops says to take his team on a recreational leave. Karma gets her leg. Hellion is seen with his hands still in bandage. Warlock purges the life glow of Hodge's man he absorbed. NM3 #16-21 follow from that. Rogue, Cyclops, Magneto, Namor, Hope appear in end fight.
Collision
XML #238-241 Rogue and Magneto take Indra and other New X-Men to India as instructed by Cyclops. Hellion still has his hands in bandage.
Fables of Reconstruction
XML #242-243 Hellion receives his new metal hands. X-Men still rebuild Utopia, but now also help San Francisco rebuilding. Hope is still around (without her Lights). Cyclops, Frost, Rogue appear.
Five Lights
UXM #526-529 Hope and Rogue search for the first light, X-men are already keeping track of the Lights. Iceman and Angel are in Vancouver, while Wolverine is in Japan. In #526 Cyclops travels to Japan to accompany Wolverine. Cypher also appears. Cyclops is in Japan with Wolverine during #527-529. #529 has to be split to make room for GENHOPE #1-4.
Future is a Four Letter Word
Generation Hope #1-4 Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Hope and 4 Lights are in Japan to search and heal the fifth Light, Zero (Kenji Uedo). In #4 they arrive back on Utopia.
Quarantine
#530-534 Actually this arc begins in #529 where Frost, Pryde and Fantomex take Sebastian Shaw to China to leave him there, amnesiac. The Lights are already on Utopia.

These are my thoughts. I'm not sure how the order you suggest would work?
