New Mutants v3 #44-49
Are the Hellions appearing in New Mutants v3 #48 and #49 of the 616-universe or from the alternate universe like other character; Beast, Kitty Pryde, Doc Strange a.o.?

After re-re-re-reading New Mutants v3 #44-49 I've come up with the following. Please have a look and let me know what YOU think. To not make it more confusing than necessary, I've assumed X-Man to be of the 616-Universe, which is not correct. He is of course of the 295-Universe.
#44: Fear the Future, part 1. The "Defenders" (not actually (the last Defenders-run turned out to be alternate universe) but just Doc Strange, Silver Surfer and Iron Fist) visit the New Mutants and warn them about the universal order of magic is disturbed and a reality changing event is approaching and the New Mutants are the center point. Sunspot is possessed and later acknowledges it's Karma. The New Mutants visit the Jean Grey School and meet Cannonball and Karma. Time is stuck and Cannonball and Karma vanish into thin air. All characters appearing are of the 616-Universe.
#45: Fear the Future, part 2. Time is stuck again. Karma and Cannonball of an alternate universe appear on Earth (616). Let's name this alternate universe, the Techlock(TL)-Universe. The X-Men and New Mutants investigate the disappearance of their friends. When they notice a trace in Michigan, the New Mutants and Blink teleport thereto. They encounter Karma and Cannonball (of the TL-alt.univ.). A fight follows. When Karma (TL) is unconscious, the New Mutants convince Cannonball (TL) to return with them to their house in San Francisco. Cannonball (TL) shows them early footage of the TL-Universe. Then Cannonball and Karma (TL) are taken over by Cypher (TL), who is ruler of the TL-universe through his locktech. Cannonball and Karma (also the Flashbacks shown by Cannonball are TL) are of the TL-Universe. Also Cypher of the TL-Universe is appearing, but only through the bodies of Cannonball and Karma. The rest of the characters are from the 616-Universe.
#46: Fear the Future, part 3. Cypher (TL) possessing the bodies of Cannonball and Karma (TL) fights the New Mutants and Blink in San Francisco. As the New Mutants notice no-one present anywhere, Cypher (TL) admits that he shunted them all sideways out of the timeline; he placed them in a state of un-time. Cypher (TL) takes over Warlock (616). Cypher (616) and X-Man telepathically go into Cypher's mind (616) and disrupt the latent control of transmode. Because of what happens to Cypher (616) now, happens to Cypher (TL), even if they are outside the timeline. The plan works and Cannonball and Karma (TL) are themselves again. Cypher (TL) has kept his possession of Warlock (616) and attacks again. Karma (TL) possesses Cypher (TL) in the body of Warlock (616). Cannonball and Karma (TL) travel back to their own time, breaking the un-time. Fifteen minutes later. Everything's reset. Karma and Cannonball (616) are back. The New Mutants, Blink, Cannonball and Karma (616) walk through the streets of San Francisco. Appearing: Cannonball and Karma (TL); New Mutants and Blink (616); Cypher (TL) in the bodies of Cannonball, Karma (TL) and Warlock (616); Cannonball and Karma (616).
#47: Fight the Future, part 1. The New Mutants, Karma, Cannonball and Blink (616) are at Ribstickers, where they notice the personell wearing different outfits than usual. Because Cypher (616) is startled about the whole becoming a villainous ruler, they all go to the Jean Grey School, where Beast (NMAU) does a check-up on Cypher (616). When the New Mutants and Blink (616) meet Kitty Pryde (NMAU) they find out that the Schism never happened and also that Kitty wears a wrong costume. Cypher (616) does some investigating, while Moonstar, Blink, Warlock and X-Man (616) teleport and ask Doc Strange (NMAU) for help. Cypher's (616) investigation states that this isn't a wrong timeline, but it is a timeline that shouldn't exist. This reality is a mash-up, laden with paradoxes. This timeline has been forced into being. Then Face (NMAU) upon seeing Cypher (616) unleashes and accidentally kills Karma (616). Appearing: New Mutants, Blink, Cannonball, Karma (616); X-Men a.o. Kitty Pryde, Beast, Iceman, Magik, Face and Doc Strange, Ribstickers personell (NMAU). NMAU stands for this timeline that shouldn't exist.
#48: Fight the Future, part 2. Hellions (616) emerge from the ocean. Cypher (616) wakes up. He, Cannonball, Blink and the New Mutants (616) are at the home of Gus Grim (NMAU). Doc Strange (NMAU) takes some of the New Mutants (616) into a sweat lodge, to travel to the multiverse and find out where Cypher's future self has dislocated the timeline. They are attacked by an alien entity, that the New Mutants have previously encountered. The next day as Cypher (616) wants to kill himself, the Hellions (616) who obviously have undergone a technarchic change stop him. The New Mutants and Blink (616) teleport to Cypher's (616) aid. Then Cypher changes into a horrible version of his future self merged with the alien entity thing from New Mutants v3 #36. Appearing: New Mutants, Blink, Cannonball (616); Hellions, controlled by Cypher (TL) a.o. Jetstream, Roulette, Tarot, Catseye, Beef Bevatron (616); Gus Grim, Ellie, Doc Strange, Namor (NMAU); Cypher, Unknown Sentient Alien (TL).
#49: Fight the Future, part 3. Because of the dead Hellions (616) appearing, Moonstar (616) becomes a Valkyrie again. When she stabs the Hellions (616) they actually die. When Cypher (TL) touches one of the New Mutants (616) they also become under his control. Moonstar (616), because of her Valkyrie powers, is not affected by the techno-organic touch. Moonstar (616) finds herself now in Cypher's (TL) future. As Cypher (616) briefly regains control of Cypher (TL) he tells Moonstar (616) to end him. Moonstar (616) kills Cypher (TL) and restores reality (616). When Cypher (616) awakens he notices everything as it should, and Karma (616) being alive. Appearing: Cypher, Unknown Sentient Alien (TL); rest of characters (616).
I thought this was/is a very confusing arc, because of the different realities and how they come to pass.
It was unclear to me a long time which Hellions appeared and which versions of Cannonball and Karma were appearing in #46-49 (the 616 of the NMAU-versions).
