New Marvels on July 2

Post by Col_Fury »

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #564
ASTONISHING X-MEN #25 with Bermejo variant!
AVENGERS/INVADERS #3 (OF 12)
CABLE #5
PATSY WALKER HELLCAT #1 (OF 5)
PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL #21
SECRET INVASION #1 DIRECTORS CUT
SECRET INVASION: FRONT LINE #1 (OF 5)

MC2:
AMERICAN DREAM #5 (OF 5)

Marvel Adventures:
MARVEL ADVENTURES: SPIDER-MAN #41

Other Stuff:
DARK TOWER: END WORLD ALMANAC
DARK TOWER: LONG ROAD HOME #5 (OF 5)
LORDS OF AVALON SOD #6 (OF 6)
MARVEL ILLUSTRATED: THREE MUSKETEERS #2 (OF 6)
SQUADRON SUPREME 2 #1

Collections:
CAPTAIN AMERICA: OPERATION REBIRTH TPB NEW PTG
COUNTER X VOL 01 X-FORCE TPB
ESSENTIAL DEFENDERS VOL 4 TPB
INVADERS CLASSIC VOL 2 TPB

I'll definitely be getting six,(six!) and Mrs. Fury will be getting two. Hellcat is a see-it-and-decide thing, and I'm on the fence about Squadron Supreme. It's written by Chaykin, which is a plus, but it's about characters I really couldn't care less about. I don't know...

From 14 last week to only 3 this week. It'll probably take me two weeks to read all 17 total, so that's fine.

ASTONISHING X-MEN #25
AVENGERS/INVADERS #3
PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL #21

SI:Front Line and Squadron Supreme are "store-time decision... but probably not". As someone who hasn't kept up with the Squadron since, well, Gruenwald's original maxi-series - I probably wouldn't recognize them anymore, huh?

Yeah, same here. If it were drawn by Chaykin I'd get it without thinking twice. Being written by Chaykin is at least enough to get me to consider it... I guess it's going to hinge on the art.

I'll be getting 5 for sure. Of those 5, one of them will be "non-Earth 616" stuff: Squadron Supreme #1. I can't stand JMS's writing anymore, but I enjoyed his run on "Supreme Power" a few years back. Thus, I'll pick up the Squadron as it has a new writer...at least the 1st issue...then we'll decide from there whether to keep buying it.

I'm probably dropping Cable. You're going to have to make your "post-apocalyptic future" a bit more interesting than this, Cable, (and you're on notice too, Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's "Wolverine"!)
