i really liked the art previews for WOZ, so i may buy it just for that. which is funny to me, because i'm more all about story content as opposed to art, but i really, really like the art i saw for it. anyone have an opinion on the artist?

For me, the same as TheDeuce, except replace the last comic with X-MEN/SPIDER-MAN #2.

Five for me, though I'm a little on the fence about SI:Dark Reign. Is it going to be important, or just another "leech $3.99 from the completists"? I'm pretty disappointed with the core Secret Invasion story, so I guess my opinion of SI #8 this week will tell the tale.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #580
ASTONISHING X-MEN: GHOST BOXES #2 (OF 2)
CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI 13 #8
SECRET INVASION: DARK REIGN
WHAT IF...? CAPTAIN AMERICA FALLEN SON

Secret Invasion: Dark Reign is to SI what Civil War: The Initiative was after that crossover.

Just 4 this week, it would appear. I was very much pumped up for the "Punisher War Zone" mini-series, but then I saw the price tag: $3.99. $3.99! FOR A WEEKLY SERIES!!

So yeah, I'm passing on it.

Scott Young is pure awesome. If there's ever a reason to buy a title based on the artist alone, it's for Scott Young's artwork.

That said, I'll probably just wait for the trade...
Secret Invasion: Dark Reign is to SI what Civil War: The Initiative was after that crossover.
Or like "House of M: The Day After" for the "HoM" crossover. And don't forget, Civil War had 2 epilogue books: remember "Civil War: the Confession"?

For that matter, Secret Invasion looks like it has 3 epilogue books: "Secret Invasion: Dark Reign", "Secret Invasion: Requiem", and the "Dark Reign: New Nation" one-shot...

Probably not. It'd look pretty ackward for a Garth Ennis Punisher TPB to be sitting on my book shelf while the rest of my Garth Ennis Punisher collection is in the long boxes. I'll probably try and hunt down this mini-series in the back issue bins a couple years from now when my comic shop has a bargain sale.

And beyond that, I'm not sure I like the idea of returning Punisher to the "Welcome Back, Frank" era. By all accounts, Ennis had his fill of writing Punisher for now, but Joe Quesada talked him into doing this mini-series, (it was Quesada's idea, meant to be a tribute to the early "Marvel Knights" stuff). Frankly, I don't see the attraction. I prefer the dark, nihilism of the "MAX" era over the slapstick, black humor of the "Marvel Knights" era.
