It's that time of the month again, when Marvel announces what it'll be shipping in three months' time.

NEW SERIES

- NAMOR: THE FIRST MUTANT #1, by Moore & Olivetti, firmly places itself under the umbrella of the X-Books, even tying itself to the vampire storyline in X-MEN.

NEW MINISERIES

Marvel are churning out tons of SHADOWLAND-related minis :
- SHADOWLAND: MOON KNIGHT #1 (of 3), by Hurwitz & Dazo, which I'm surprised isn't an arc in the regular title.
- SHADOWLAND: POWER MAN #1 (of 4), by Van Lente & Asrar, introduces a new character for the code name.
- SHADOWLAND: BLOOD ON THE STREETS #1 (of 4), by Johnston & Alves, features the unlikely team of Misty Knight, Paladin, the Shroud and Silver Sable.
- SHADOWLAND: DAUGHTERS OF THE SHADOW #1 (of 3), by Henderson & Rodriguez, stars Colleen Wing leading a team of female assassins.

- CAPTAIN AMERICA: FOREVER ALLIES #1 (of 4), by Stern, Dragotta & Santucci, focuses on Bucky and will split its focus between the 40s and the present day.

- AVENGERS & THE INFINITY GAUNTLET #1 (of 4), by Clevinger & Churilla, is a retelling of the classic storyline.

- ULTIMATE COMICS AVENGERS 3 #1 (of 6), by Millar & Dillon, is more of the same.

- MARVEL UNIVERSE VS. THE PUNISHER #1 & 2 (of 4), by Maberry & Parlov, looks closer to MARVEL ZOMBIES than the original one-shot. Out of normal continuity, of course.

- NEW MUTANTS FOREVER #1 (of 5), by Claremont & Rio, and you should know the deal by now : Claremont returns to the book at about the point he left. Not sure how (or if) it ties in with X-MEN FOREVER, though.

ONESHOTS

Two more tie-ins for the vampire storyline over in X-MEN :
- X-MEN: CURSE OF THE MUTANTS – BLADE #1, by Swierczynski & Green
- X-MEN: CURSE OF THE MUTANTS - STORM & GAMBIT #1, by Kim & "TBD"

- SHADOWLAND: BULLSEYE #1, by Layman & Chen. Well, he had to be involved somehow, didn't he ?

- DAREDEVIL: BLACK & WHITE #1, by various, is the latest retro B&W anthology.

- THOR: THE RAGE OF THOR #1, by Milligan & Suayan, is a sequel to the recent TRIAL OF THOR one-shot.

- SPITFIRE #1, by Cornell & Casagrande, is your token "Women of Marvel" one-shot of the month.

- DEADPOOL #1000, by various people, is yet another 104-page anthology with such a dodgy numbering I prefer to treat it as a one-shot.

- PUNISHERMAX: HAPPY ENDING #1, by Milligan & Rhyp

- SPIDER-GIRL: THE END! #1, by DeFalco & Frenz as usual. Supposedly they're really calling it a day this time around.

NOTABLE ISSUES

- Shipping twice this month : ULTIMATE AVENGERS (v2 #6 & v3 #1), AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (#640 & #641), DARK WOLVERINE (#89 & #90), THOR (#613 & #614)

- DARK WOLVERINE #89 & FRANKEN-CASTLE #20 conclude their crossover.

- WORLD WAR HULKS concludes with INCREDIBLE HULK #611 and HULK #24. Somehow, it feels like it's been going on forever...

- The Wolverine books close shop for an imminent relaunch, are both WOLVERINE: WEAPON X #16 and DARK WOLVERINE #90 conclude their respective titles.

GONE MISSING THIS MONTH :
- Remember, AVENGERS: CHILDREN'S CRUSADE, ASTONISHING SPIDER-MAN & WOLVERINE, and ULTIMATE COMICS NEW ULTIMATES are bimonthly, and thus skipping this month.
- VENGEANCE OF THE MOON KNIGHT : it's strange they didn't run the SHADOWLAND tie-in in the main series. Is it cancelled ?
- DOOMWAR is over, and there's no relaunch of BLACK PANTHER in sight...
- ASTONISHING X-MEN: XENOGENESIS. Sigh...

NOTABLE COLLECTIONS

- Marvel Masterworks : Golden Age Marvel Comics v5, Defenders v2, Silver Surfer v2
- Essentials : Hulk v6, plus new editions of Cap v1 & v2.

- WOMEN OF MARVEL: CELEBRATING SEVEN DECADES OMNIBUS HC collects various minis and issues about female characters.

TBD? I love his work!

Hey! You failed to mention TBD is doing art for Weapon X, as well! He's a big draw, ya know.
