John Duffy

Post by Nathan P. Mahney »

Hi guys,

I'm working on a writing project about the early days of Marvel, and I was looking into John Duffy, the letterer. For a guy who worked on several of Marvel's most important early superhero books (FF #2, ASM #1-3), there's not much out there on the internet about the guy's life. I figured that if the info is out there, one of you guys would know about it. Is there an online bio for the guy that I'm missing, or something in a print source? I'd appreciate any help.

Nick Caputo is a frequent commenter on Chrissy's Adventures in the Marvelous Zone. He's fairly well-versed on the creators from the early Silver Age. Stop by the Marvelous Zone and reply to one of his comments, and he may be able to point you in the right direction.
