In the Assassin's Guild one-shot, Arsene Jourdan III the appeared. From a line of thieves, he continued his family's magpie ways.

In Classic X-Men#26/2, Banshee and Wolverine encountered a thief called Arsene, also from a line of thieves.

I actually do not hold that Jo Duffy (writer of Assassin's Guild) and Tom Orzechowski (writer of Classic X-Men#26/2) intended these as the same person. Rather, what happened, they both decided to homage Arsene Lupin III, an unauthorized grand-son/successor to Maurice LeBlanc's thief Arsene Lupin created by the Japanese manga writer Monkey Punch. (Before we criticize Monkey Punch, remember that Gerry Conway started the Punisher by taking ideas from Mack Bolan, the Executioner by Don Pendleton and the Shadow by Walter Gibson).

However, in any index, have they clarified the relationship between the two thieves named Arsene?
