DOC SAVAGE v2 #1 (August, 1975)

FLASHBACK:
When a nearby skyscraper explodes, Winston Tremaine tells his sister to contact Doc Savage.
SYNOPSIS:
Angel Tremaine tells Doc Savage her brother is in trouble, so Doc Savage and his pals follow clues left by Winston and figure out that Angel’s fiancée is the villain, jealous of Winston’s success.

NOTE:
This is the only Doc Savage story from both volumes and either guest appearance that doesn’t provide a date (except for maybe DOCSAV2 4, which I don’t have). Also, Chris Claremont interviews director George Pal about the Doc Savage movie.

DOC SAVAGE v2 #2 (October, 1975)

FLASHBACK:
A Spanish ship carrying treasure sinks. Centuries later, Quentin Taine and a search party go looking for it, but they crash and only some of the party returns home.
SYNOPSIS:
When the Mad Viking kills a real estate mogul, Quentin Taine is blamed, despite him being missing for months. Sandy Taine asks Doc Savage for help. Savage and his pals solve the case!

NOTE:
Dialogue places this in July, 1939. Also, John Warner interviews actor Ron Ely about the Doc Savage movie.

DOC SAVAGE v2 #3 (January, 1976)

SYNOPSIS:
Mechanical animals are stealing diamonds from museums! Contessa de Chabrol asks Doc Savage for help; she claims her brother is stealing them. She’s actually working with the thief, Inferno, and Savage and his pals defeat them.

2nd STORY:

SYNOPSIS:

Noted as Spring, 1933, but it takes place immediately before the first story.

SYNOPSIS:
Doc Savage and his pals travel across the world, accompanied by Pat Savage, Doc’s cousin.

NOTE:
Happens over several days (and continents) in June, 1933. Unfortunately, Pat Savage appears here already owning her beauty salon, which has to happen after DOCSAV 7-8, which was noted as happening in January, 1934. I’ll just pretend this issue meant to say June, 1934 instead of 1933.

Also, an article by Bob Sampson and David Anthony Kraft interviews Mrs. Lester Dent.

DOC SAVAGE v2 #6 (October, 1976)

SYNOPSIS:
An entire town in Utah is killed by Egyptian-themed villains, so Doc Savage and company check it out. Renny and Monk’s secretary are both captured, hypnotized and given super powers, but Doc Savage snaps them out of it and defeats the villains.

DOC SAVAGE v2 #7 (January, 1977)

FLASHBACK:
A long time ago, aliens visit Peru and teach the natives how to build temples and create test tube babies. Recently, monsters attack a village, so Myrrana leaves to get help.
SYNOPSIS:
Vesper Hope translates for Myrrana when she asks Doc Savage for help; also, there’s a lost treasure nearby her village. Doc Savage and his group go to Peru, fight giant mutated monsters and find the treasure.

NOTE:
