SYNOPSIS:

Spider-Man fights Scorpion until he unmasks Scorpion, and is surprised to see Peter Parker is the Scorpion. At her home, Mary Jane is surprised by someone hiding in her closet.

He looks for her but runs into Spider-Woman instead. Spider-Woman refuses to answer any of Peter’s questions and they fight; Spider-Woman knocks Peter out. Peter goes to his old house looking for Mary Jane but finds Gwen Stacy instead. Meanwhile, Mary Jane wakes up imprisoned at the closed Oscorp facility, held captive by a Peter Parker clone.

Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four call Nick Fury and tells him about Scorpion.

FLASHBACK:
Richard Parker decides he doesn’t want to work for Trask and doesn’t get on the plane. Trask arranges for the plane to crash. Richard sees Peter is being taken care of by May and Ben, but before he can tell them he’s alive Henry Gyrich of the CIA stops him, and says Richard can continue his research for the government (not real, see ULTSM 103’s NOTE). Years later, Richard finds out Peter is Spider-Man after the whole Venom business (probably not real either). Richard sneaks out and tells May he’s alive, then prepares to tell Peter (who’s smooching with Mary Jane), but he’s stopped by Gyrich (has to be real, see ULTSM 103’s NOTE).
SYNOPSIS:
Richard Parker reveals he’s not dead. Meanwhile, the Peter Parker clone prepares to give Mary Jane powers, but he’s attacked by Tarantula. Richard tells Peter how he survived the plane crash. The Peter clone defeats Tarantula. Nick Fury arrives at the Parker house with a bunch of Spider-Slayers. Gwen freaks out and turns into Carnage. Aunt May thinks she’s having a heart attack. Meanwhile, the Peter clone prepares to give Mary Jane powers.

Spider-Woman saves Peter from Nick Fury and takes him to the Oscorp facility, where they find Mary Jane has been given powers. When Mary Jane calms down, Nick Fury arrives with Dr. Octopus and Mr. Fantastic.

SYNOPSIS:
Shadowcat demands the X-Men go help Spider-Man. Dr. Octopus reveals he made all of the clones and brags about how awesome he is. Meanwhile, Invisible Woman finds out that Richard Parker is actually an aged Peter Parker clone. Spider-Man and his clones attack Dr. Octopus, and he reveals the arms weren’t mechanical, they were controlled by his telekinesis. Yikes!

NOTE:
Wait a second. The cloning didn’t start until after Curt Conners was arrested for the whole Carnage thing, freeing up Ben Reilly. Richard Parker is a clone, a result of Ben Reilly’s involvement (he provided the Peter Parker blood sample), so the whole “I didn’t get on the plane” flashback isn’t real. Richard Parker “finding out” that Peter is Spider-Man after the Venom thing can’t be real, either, because he wasn’t created yet. Richard “revealed” to Aunt May that he was alive, and then saw Peter smooching with Mary Jane. This has to be real, because Aunt May remembers it.

After ULTSM 64 is when Ben Reilly had the blood sample, and ULTSM 65 happens very shortly after that. Peter broke up with Mary Jane in ULTSM 77. ULTSM 68-77 happen over a week, roughly. So May found out that Richard was “alive” sometime after ULTSM 65 and sometime before ULTSM 68.

Also, at some point the cloning operation went from being overseen by the CIA to the FBI. Huh.

Spider-Man chats with Spider-Woman, who’s going to start a new life as a lady, even though she has Peter’s memories. Later, Nick Fury checks on the captive Scorpion and Carnage (Gwen). Peter goes home and finds out his house is destroyed. He kisses Mary Jane and Kitty sees it. On no! Later, Mary Jane freaks out when she sees Peter, thinking he’s the clone that kidnapped her.

NOTE:
Moon Knight has multiple personalities, so “Ronin” should go in quotes like “Marc Spector.” Also, he has a “Paladin” personality.

He then beats up Moon Knight and says Daredevil works for him. Meanwhile, Daredevil breaks into an empty office and calls Dr. Strange. Strange casts a spell to find out where Spider-Man is, but by the time they get there everyone’s gone. Daredevil meets with the others, but they’re attacked by Spider-Man. They figure out the Kingpin’s screwing with them when Daredevil’s law office explodes. Daredevil figures out Iron Fist is the traitor.

Kingpin’s men shoot Moon Knight in the face. Iron Fist reports to Kingpin, but admits he’s only distracting him. Kingpin freaks out and checks on his wife, to find Daredevil threatening her. Moon Knight wakes up. Spider-Man talks Daredevil to not kill Vanessa, and Daredevil demands Kingpin leave the country. Moon Knight goes to the police and says Kingpin tried to kill him. As Kingpin prepares to get Vanessa out of the country, he orders his people to blow up Spider-Man’s school and destroy Dr. Strange’s house. The police arrest Kingpin for attempted murder.

At school, Flash makes a racist mutant joke, so Kong makes Flash apologize and makes friends with Kitty. Green Goblin’s Triskelion prison cell explodes.

NOTE:
Shadowcat gets another new costume here. She was in her X-Men uniform in Ultimate Power, so in theory, this issue should happen after Ultimate Power. Unless Nick Fury shows up later, of course (he went to the Supreme Power universe at the end of Ultimate Power). Nick Fury is mentioned this issue, but all they say is he isn’t here.

“Magneto” is imprisoned in this issue, but at this point it’s actually Mastermind posing as Magneto.

Kitty hears that Spider-Man’s been arrested. Carol Danvers interviews Spider-Man, then gets a call that Osborn killed his lawyer. Shadowcat breaks Spider-Man out of prison, but Danvers explains she was trying to protect Spider-Man. They find out Osborn is at his accountant’s place and go after him.

NOTE:
Danvers tells Spider-Man that Nick Fury’s “not here” and implies Spider-Man already knew that. Oh, she also says she has Nick Fury’s job, so yeah, this is all after Ultimate Power. Yay!

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #116 (January, 2008)

Spider-Man finds Firestar at Mary Jane’s house, reveals he’s Peter Parker and tells her to learn how to use her powers at the X-Men’s school.
