Punisher War Journal v2 #19
July, 2008
Appearances:
Punisher(Frank Castle), Diamonelle, Jigsaw, Ian, Ian’s Doctor-lady from issue 11(Lynn Michaels), Rampage(Stuart Clarke), G. W. Bridge, Silver Sable, Domino, & the Contessa Valentina Allegro DeFontaine!
Synopsis:
Pg1-pg8: not long after last issue
To start the day, Frank gets a message from Diamonelle. He then goes about running some errands and reads the paper. That afternoon, Jigsaw holds a meeting with other criminals, assuring then that the Hood is happy with what he’s doing. He & Ian’s doctor-lady then send Ian out on more Punisher-style jobs.
Pg9-pg22: next day
Frank runs more errands, but one of the shop keepers he goes to has been killed. He heads back to his place but the doorman is dead, and he’s attacked. He runs upstairs to grab Diamonelle and they make a break for it. They meet up with Clarke and watch the news, where the police are holding a press conference about the Punisher. Meanwhile, G. W. Bridge and his team of Silver Sable, Domino, & the Contessa are hitting Frank’s usual errand spots.
References:
It’s probably only a few days since last issue. The paper Frank’s reading has the headline “Punisher Kill Spread: Vigilante Murder Rampage”, which has to give Ian a least a little time to kill more people in the Punisher’s name. Not much time, though, because also on the front page is a story about the police officers killed by Ian from last issue. Also, the newspaper is the DB!.
Sadly, the Contessa appearing here is a Skrull.

Punisher War Journal v2 #22
Ocotober, 2008
Appearances:
Punisher(Frank Castle), Clarke), Diamonelle(Lynn Michaels), G. W. Bridge, Silver Sable, Domino, & the Contessa Valentina Allegro DeFontaine!, Jigsaw, Wrecker, Thunderball, Bulldozer, Piledriver, Rhino-BTS
Synopsis:
Pg1-pg22: two weeks after last issue
Diamonelle and Clarke chat about the Punisher. Clarke wants to break him out of S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, but Diamonelle tries to talk him out of it. Meanwhile, the Punisher is released from a S.H.I.E.L.D. hospital and is prepared to be transported to prison. Back at Clarke’s place, Diamonelle tells Clarke that the Punisher killed his girlfriend, but he doesn’t believe her. So she shoots him. Meanwhile, G. W. Bridge chats with the Punisher while he’s being transported. The convoy is attacked by Jigsaw with a bazooka, and the Wrecking Crew attack, they’ve been hired to kill the Punisher.
References:
It’s revealed that Diamonelle is actually Ian’s doctor, so she finally has a name. Not that Diamonelle is actually her real name, as we’ll find out, but it’s better than ‘Ian’s doctor-lady from issue 11’…
As established in issue 19, Jigsaw is working with the Hood now. Apparently, he’s cleared using the Wrecking Crew with him, but I don’t think that qualifies the Hood for a BTS. It just establishes that this takes place after the Hood positions himself as the new Kingpin of super powered criminals.
As revealed next issue, Clarke calls the Rhino. We don’t hear his end of the phone conversation, giving the Rhino a BTS for the issue.
PWJ2 22 (14:2)-FB shows G. W. Bridge in Vietnam. So before XFOR 8-FB, then.
